INCREDIBLY NICE SHAPE 1989 XJ6 !! UP FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS THIS VERY NICELY MAINTAINED XJ6 1989. ONLY 91,000 ORIG MILES !!! COMPLETELY ORIGINAL GARAGED IN WINTERS . SAME OWNER FOR LAST 13 YEARS !! A HUGE FOLDER OF RECEIPT RECORDS FOR THE LAST 13 YEARS ! STARTS RIGHT UP BEAUTIFULLY AND DRIVES VERY NICE ! A NICE RIDE !! A gentleman who lived not too far down the street gave me a nice deal on this car and I could not resist. It was beautiful. Me and my signifigant other decided instead of keeping the car we would sell and put towards a nice vacation later this year (she talked me into it, apparently I have enough toys). Of course my guy friends say I am crazy to sell it, but we are going to go on a European cruise. The owner was an Engineer, and very maticulous kept all records. HE REPLACED THE TIRES BETWEEN 1300 AND 4000 MILES AGO! THE NEW YORK STATE INSPECTION ON IT IS STILL GOOD I BELIEVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER !! SHOWN IN PICTURES OR IN PICTURES I CAN SEND TO YOU IN A ZIP FILE AS I CANNOT POST ALL 80+ PICS, BUT I DO WANT YOU TO SEE ALL THE PICS !! The car is SOLID and the only rust I noticed If you wanna call it that is passenger side front fender I took picture of a small paint blister about maybe 1-1/2" in diameter by eye. Other than that I noticed nothing on the exterior. Obviously you can see it is a stunning car. The trunk is in superior condition as well, Some of what appears to be surface rust towards the rear of trunk as shown. No biggie to me. The wood is in awesome condition as shown. There is a crack in the wood on the ash tray cover (to me not an eyesore at all). Other than that the wood looks awesome check pics !! Some notes on the car: First off he told me the air was not working. Not sure if it needs a recharge or Air conditioning parts. I do not hear any squeeking or any pulley sounds when the car is running so I don't know if it is compressor. or just a simple recharge. He didnt know as well as he just took it out of storage this year shortly ago. The rear headliner is sagging a bit. This I would imagine is an easy fix as all you may need is the pool table felt spray adhesive which should work like a charm. I think it is a 3m product sold at pool table shops and maybe hardware store. Minor issue I would think. The locks work by remote (I just replace batteries in one of them), The key does not work in the door lock , he said he didnt have time to mess with the linkage. He thought it was the link or rod inside the door. The link will come with the car and may just need reinstall or a little more not sure, I didnt car as I planned on using remote anyway. Either way the remote works just fine and locks and unlocks the doors. The dash shows "low brake pressure" but what I understand is pretty common display. The car appears to stop fine and again it passed it's NYS inspection. There is not amny dings in the car at all I noticed a small one to the side of the hood ornament, But quite honestly You have to looks at the right angle to notice. The trunk hood has a faded spot as shown , I would guess a good portion might be able to be buffed out. At one time for storage I was tole previous owner used a strong adhesive tape (duct?) to hold down plastic tarp over car. You can see tape marks in several spots. WHere is left over adhesive where it pulled part of the coating off. Its hard to see when your standing 5 feet from the car but you can see up close. Don't know if a simple professional buffing will take the marks off or not. Either way this car will still get stares when you are driving. People were turning heads when I took for a couple test drives. It appeared to be like 1-1/2" wide or 2" wide tape. you can see in several spots, couple on sides of front hood couple on roof couple on rear trunk. Like I said and you can see in pics its hard to see when you are 5 to ten feet back. I am not a professional, so I am not messin with it. These photos will be in the other file I can send as I did not have room on Ad. If there are any other tiny dings they are hard to see. A couple in hood if you look at the right angle The leather is in awesome condition, the only small issue is left driver side the piping(for the leather seat trim) is slightly out as shown. It is on left side so out of sight when sitting. maybe about 4" long area. another easy cosmetic fix. He said he replaced the head gasket some time ago and it was done right. He's an engineer ! He mentioned something about the rear hydraulic shocks being replaced woth spring shocks. Either way the car rides beautifully ! Although hard to see in pics there is a chrome valve cover which looks awesome, I am just not sure that was standard option or not. Now more extras than you can shake a stick at !! Will come with a box of Jaguar misc stuff, Little parts he replaced and spares etc. This will come with the nice set of service manuals I THINK WELL VALUED OVER 180.00, shown in zip file IT WILL COME WITH THE VERY NICE BLUE CAR COVER SHOWN LOADED, POWER SUNROOF POWER SEATS (BOTH SEATS) IT WILL COME WITH A BRAND NEW TAIL LIGHT LENS SHOWN IN BOX IT WILL COME WITH YEARS OF SEVICE RECORDS : Some receipt mentionables: crank sensor, xj40 kit?? 375.00$, Thermostat,charge selenoid,oil sensor,charcoal canister,accumulator,schock absorber bushings,strut bonnet support,waterpump, Aftermarket brake pad set (07/09),oxygen sensor, 2 cooper tires cs4 replaced at 87,000 kmi, another two cooper tires replaced at 89,776 kmi,injection serviced, fan blade,heater control valve,low coolant sensor, head gasket,shocks and more. HE did a fabulous job of maintaining this car. Only put about 3200 miles a year (over the 13 yr span) when he bought the car when it had 47,000 miles on it in 1997. Look at the pics when I e mail them to you and you can zoom in on all the bills to read. IT WILL COME WITH ORIGINAL RIMS SHOWN ON CAR IT WILL COME WITH ORIGINAL REMOTES AND KEYS SHOWN IN PIC THERE IS STILL A VALID NEW YORK INSPECTION STICKER ON THE CAR ! The car due to age has various Scratches/tiny ding etc but still a magnificaent car I AM NOT PROVIDING ANY FORM OF WARRANTY. YOU GET WHAT YOU SEE IN THE MANY PHOTOS IT WILL START AND DRIVE NICELY !! The engine obviously by pics very clean. THE CAR DOES NOT HESITATE TO START. SHE FIRES RIGHT UP EVERY TIME. I DID NOT NOTICE ANY EXHAUST LEAKS JUST A WELL MAINTAINED CAR. I Strongly do not believe in dishonesty in any form. I have worked hard for my 100% rating and is worth more to me than its weight in gold. So you know what I know, I drove very little but a cool as heck car. The sale is "as is" but again bid with confidence as I tried to describe the best I could.
