BUY IT NOW PRICE OF $2,500 INCLUDES TRUCK AND DELIVERY/MEETING WITHIN 200 MILES OF HOT SPRINGS, AR (ZIP CODE 71913) For Sale: One 1950 Ford F-1 Pickup Truck. Very Original and Complete. Truck is originally from Myrtle, Missouri and was in storage in Pocahontas, AR for 20 plus years by an aged farmer. Truck has been out of the barn only a few months. I hold the clear title from 1953 when the truck was sold by the original owner and made the move to Arkansas. This title has never been completed on the back side, so the purchaser of the vehicle can be the 3rd legal owner. I bought the truck to restore, as it is the perfect start for such a project. This truck is very complete so no parts-chasing would be required. Other obligations have pushed this truck to the back-burner and I don't have room to store it, thus I'm forced to sell. I know I'll probably never find another original, un-molested example like this, but my loss is your gain. I know my stuff and looked long and hard before settling on this one to bring home and restore, but like I've said, it's not to be. This is not something I bought to re-sell, I bought it to keep; so trust that I'm giving you a chance at the best original specimen I could find for myself. This great truck includes: Original, Complete Flathead V8 engine (not currently running) 6 volt Electrical System (not converted to 12 volt so the gauges, wiper, etc. should not be damaged internally) Original 4-Speed Floor-shift Transmission (most are 3-speeds) Original Heater (this was an option) Dash-mounted AM Radio (also a rare option) All trim and emblems are present and in good, re-usable condition (with the exception of hubcaps, I have no hub-caps for the truck) Some exterior trim is not seen in photos (on the hood sides, for example) this was carefully removed for the trip home and it's in great shape. new clips will be needed of course. Original Wheels, Axles, Suspension, etc. present and un-modified. (never been lowered, lifted, etc. all original) Even the Spare-Tire Holder is still there, hanging under the bed as it always has been The sheetmetal on the truck is in extremely solid shape for its age and originality, but it will need some work before a perfect paint job. The pictures will show that the front fenders have some rust-through where the sections bolt-together. This is the most common place for rust on these trucks and replacements are available new. The running boards also have some rust-through but are solid enough for me (225 lbs) to stand on. Running boards are also available new. All the rust-through areas are small enough to be covered with patches, but the replacements being available gives a restorer two options for repair. The majority of the truck's exterior is covered in light surface rust but the rust-through is very minimal. I'm trying to represent the truck honestly, and believe me it is not a rust-bucket, just an entirely original specimen with rust-prone areas common to this model of truck. The tailgate and bedsides, fenders, and header panel (front of the bed) are all solid and as straight as I've seen in original condition, but the wooden truck bed floor is of course gone. The trim panels and filler strips for the bed are present, however. To the best of my knowledge this truck has never had a rear-bumper and the frame shows no signs of one ever being installed. Bumpers on these trucks were optional and I guess this one wasn't wanted for towing. Just saying so because I've gotten questions on the absence of a bumper, so I researched it and examined the truck to answer them. Obviously the truck is a great beginning to a restoration project, resto-mod, rat-rod, etc. It will need to be hauled, not driven, away. I have the means (dually and car-hauler) to deliver the truck and will work with the buyer all I can to make that simple and affordable, or it can be picked up in zip code 71913 or shipped. Buyer will need to make shipping arrangements if not made through me. Feel free to ask questions as I am trying to pair a great truck with a good home, not slight anyone. That being said, here's the bad: as I said, No Hubcaps No Wood-Floor in the bed the seat slides just fine on the adjuster, but it will need to be re-upholstered the material is present to match and the snap is still solidly on the roof, but the headliner needs replacement the rust-through I've already mentioned in the fenders and running-boards the engine cylinders are in nice shape but the heads have been pulled from the motor for inspection. This was done by the farmer. All bolts and hardware are bagged and labeled. A great start to a project with all the parts present and accounted for. Restoration, Resto-mod, Rat-rod, anyway you want it, this truck is the perfect start! I DO HAVE THE TRUCK FOR SALE LOCALLY AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THIS AUCTION EARLY. Payment must be made within 48 hours of end of auction. I prefer cashier's checks but I do accept PayPal.
