Vehicle Detail

This is a 1965 Buick Riviera. with 90.000 original miles, I purchased it in 2001. It was sitting for 21 years prior to my purchase. Moisture and rust ate away the undercarriage but all the fenders doors and quarter panels are great. That is the only reason I bought it, plus the car was complete as you can see. The floor was replaced and two small patches were welded in the trunk, there are two places in the rear where the body bushings need to be fabricated, but I just don’t have the time or energy any more. It was taken down to bare metal, blocked 3 times and then painted in 2002. so you are looking at an 8 year old paint job. I would give the paint an 8 today. I have not had the time to drive the car much so I would have or rebuild the carb, a little bit gunked up from sitting. It does run great but could run better with a carb rebuild,. It has the 401 with the switch pitch trans. Only flaws to the exterior are where a ladder fell on the left front fender and scraped the paint a bit ( see picture ) and a crack in the windshield , bought it that way and has never traveled, ( see picture ). The heater core is bad and I bypassed it because I don’t drive the car in the winter and I don’t need it. I’m being as honest as I can on this car, it is not a 100 point show car, it is a driver but, a very nice driver it does turn heads. Too many parts to list that were replaced…..Sorry, an after thought, I would have the head liner cleaned or replaced. I need to sell the car so there is no reserve. I want to put things in perspective for a few. I’m just getting to many emails .This is a driver, NOT a show car. If you want a show car there are two here on Ebay for $24000 or $26000 and there is another one up for $5000 you can put together and make a show car out of, this one is starting at $7200 not $20000 and don’t expect to get any where near that. The floors were replaced; there is rust in the rear where the body bushings have to go in. It does drop a bit of engine oil on the floor, about a ½ quart a summer, the right hand turn signal works but does not blink on the dash. The headlight motor works, had that rebuilt, but the headlight switch should be replaced. Once again the car runs fine but if you want a car that is 45 years old and completely done and never want to work on I don’t think $7200 will do it for ya!
