Vehicle Detail
This is not a show bike,I started this project with RAT BIKE in mind.It has a 4" stretch 2 1/2" drop bolt on hardtail.Shortened 70"s style springer forks with a 21" wheel and small drum brake, new Maxxis 300x21 Tire, front and rear wheel are rattle can painted flat black.Old Lucas running light for the headlight with two filament bulb.6" risers with upside-down riser bars.Fiberglass flat track tank with nicks and scratches,No leaks feeding two makuni 32 carbs with new air filters. It has a dual coil from a Honda,I think, firing from the later version 2 points with remote condenser with a very good hot spark. The engine has been bored 40 over with recent valve job, engine rollesover free and has compression,But I broke my right knee and have lost interest so I have not had it running,No problem engaging all 4 gears. So there is more to do on the engine but I don't believe it will be anything serious.I made the oil tank from a fire extinguisher with a home made remote filter which takes a trident filter cartridge.Has a temporary oil gauge so I could check that when I got it running. Solo seat is attached to a door hinge, flips up easily to access oil tank,Foot pegs are flip-up honda pegs on homemade bracket which also has brake peddle pivot welded to it.Wiring is complete with updated regulator, except for horn and brake light switch that both come with bike. New 510x16 rear tire and new drive chain, spare clutch basket, crank sprocket and primary chain included.ribbed rear fender with tombstone tail light and plate mount. I like the look of this bike and hate to give up on it but considering the knee I guess I'll move onto a car project,I have not welded anything to the frame except seat mounts so this leaves plenty of opportunities for a new owner to change looks to suite.
