What you are bidding on is a 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z. I am selling this vehicle with NO RESERVE!!! This is a 2.2L automatic with turbo. As far as the body and frame and interier go(some cracks in the interior but no tears, the body on the car is in really good shape for being over 20 years old. This car has a power driver seat and lumbar support. Everything electrical appears to be in working order. This is a very comfortable ride. The wheels are American racing wheels! This would be a great vehicle to restore because of the condition and collectability. I bought this car in 2001 and i drove it for about 6 months. I have not drove this car in 8 or so years. The head gasket blew and i had the head resurfaced and a new head gasket installed. The vehicle has not run right ever since the head gasket blew so i just parked it. I do not think the turbo works. The engine starts but runs rough and smoke and oil comes out the exhaust pretty bad. I just recently started the car up and there is what i think is transmission fluid leaking(it appears to be coming out of a hose that isn't properly clamped.) The car will start but will not move, I think due to the loss of transmission fluid. other then this the problems with the vehicle are as follows..... 1. the hydrolics that hold the rear hatch open need replaced. 2. 2 noticable rust spots on the body. one is right above the center of the windshield and is a little bigger then a quarter. The other rust spot is right behind the passenger door and is a little smaller then a quarter. These are the only rust spots on the body that I am aware of. 3. The window seal along the back rear hatch window needs fixed. The seal hangs out. 4. A battery is not included. 5. I never used the air conditioning. There is no belt on it so i do not know if it works or not. Same with the cruise control...i never used it. 6. Tires are no good. Vehicle is located near DuBois, PA. Buyer is responsible for pickup.
