Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for looking, I am listing my 1951 Chevy styline deluxe two door sedan. This is a NO RESERVE car. I have had the car for a little over two years, and unfortunately have two jobs and am building a bike also, so I don’t have the time to dedicate to my car. In the last couple of weeks she started to run hot on me, I pulled the head and I found out it has a nick on the head right where the head gasket seals the combustion chamber, I brought it to my machinist and he said it would be able to either welded up and milled flat, or to deck the head if you wanted to raise the compression. also I bent one pushrod pulling it out so it will need to be straightened out. The car is in Nesconset, NY 11767 N.Y. about 1 hour east of NYC, if you have zero feedback contact me first or your bid will be deleted, not trying to be a dick but just tired of dealing w deadbeats who never pay and don’t have the money., feel free to call me with any questions, my number is 631-559-9484. If you look at my feedback you’ll see I am good seller/buyer any way here’s a list of all the new things done Engine: Complete rebuild, new bearings, rings, gaskets, and seals New 100a alternator New re manufactured starter New motor mounts front and side New plugs, points, cap, rotor, and wires New fan belt New hoses New electric fuel pump and filter ( I also have a brand new mechanical fuel pump if you’d like) New Fuel tank New fuel lines, and brake lines to back of car Rebuilt front brakes ( have parts to rebuild front as well ) New sending unit New ring gear on flywheel Tranny: T-5 5 speed w overdrive out of an 86 S-10 ( as far as gear ratios these are the prefered trannys for this swap) New adapter plate from buffalo machine shop New S-10 clutch New rear seal The shifter was extended about 3 ft up so it sits just above the dash so that you can mount a shifter that ill stick up high Drivetrain: 3;73 posi rear out of an 96 blazer, new gasket Rebuilt 79 camaro driveshaft w new u joints Electrical: New 21 circuit wiring harness from EZ wiring harness New ballast resistor 6 volt reducer for gas gauge New 39 ford blue dot taillights New ignition switch, push button starter (not installed) New headlight switch Body: I stripped the body to bare metal and sprayed it in Kustom shoppe’s DTM sealer epoxy New lower pass quarter patch panel ( still needs finishing) Frenched taillights I shaved the pass door handle w a auto loc bear claw latch but didn’t do the drivers yet but do have it 13 coats of big daddy roth juicy pink metal flake w HOK clear on it Interior: It has new front floor pans but the guy I bought it from just laid them on top and lap welded them I would recommend grinding them flat and re-doing them New 80/20 cut loop carpet As you can see I put a lot of work into it and have a lot of parts for it, the only thing I don’t have is the weather striping, and interior. I have the registration in my hand so its ready to go. The only thing I could tell you that I know it needs is a rubber mount for the trans. I took some inch and a half square tubing and welded some plates on the side for a cross member, but you have to soft mount it cause the vibration shakes the car till you engage the clutch. Well that’s the best description I can give, like I said if there’s any questions feel free to call, thanks again for looking Christopher
