Vehicle Detail

2000 Ford Focus. Great fun car, professionally modified. Not some hacked together backyard job done by a couple of amateurs. The components incorporated into the car were carefully thought out and selected for performance, reliability, and style. Adult owned (I am WAY older than my writing style would indicate). I've owned it about 5 years, and no one has smoked in the vehicle in that time. It smells new, like leather seats. Clean and well maintained, but this is a street driven vehicle, it is not a garage showpiece, it has minor nicks and dings from real world use. It is in very good condition for the age of the vehicle. Has not been driven winters since I owned it. This is a no reserve auction. Vehicle is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction and cancel bids if it is sold. I will add additional pictures soon, need to take some in good light. Contact me if you are looking for pics of specific items on the vehicle, The basics: 2000, 2 door hatchback, 104k miles. 5 Speed. Vehicle has extensive modifications. This is a great little street car. It's reliable, gets good fuel mileage, and attracts attention. Plus it's not a Civic like everyone else is driving, it's very unique. It's only been driven a few thousand miles in the last 4 years or so. (Since my little girl was born I've been driving the "Daddy minivan". Practical, but not cool at all.) But it's time for the Focus to go to someone who will appreciate and enjoy it and put some miles on it. I'm disappointed to sell it, but I'm not using it much so it's time. The fun stuff: Rousch intercooled turbocharger. Runs 6psi boost (safe for stock engine internals). Remapped Roush ECU. Not a pieced-together installation, bought the complete engineered kit from Roush. Changed to an external wategate instead of the Roush internal. It sounds better. Vehicle has never been equipped with a boost contoller that would allow excessive boost. This turbo system is excellent for street use, it starts building boost about 3k rpm, comes on very strong by 5k. This kit was about $5500, it was professionally installed. Random Technologies high flow catalytic converter. Custom exhaust from cat back by Wisconsin muffler. Quiet, has a nice low tone, not a "fart can" type exhaust. Sounds serious, but not intrusive. You can easily hear the turbo spooling up over the exhaust. Exhaust tip is tucked behind the rear grille insert in the body kit for discreet appearance. This car passes emissions easily, on the "fast pass". Driven conservatively it gets about the same mileage as stock. Driven with authority, it doesn't get such good gas mileage, but you will be grinning so much you won't care. Uses regular premium fuel, no octane boosters or additives needed. Approximately 240 hp at the crank. New clutch about 2k miles ago. New windshield less than 1k miles ago (stupid road construction dump trucks....). Carbon fiber hood. The real carbon fiber they made a few years ago, not the black dyed fiberglass you get now. Ford Motorsport projector headlights with high performance blue tinted bulbs. Changed the center grille to a newer Ford one that was more attractive than the 2000. Kaminari body kit. Looks great without being "rice". Minor damage to front skirt, I hit a parking lot curb. Chipped paint and small cracks at the stress point by the headlights from that. You can see it if you look closely at the detail ics of the front quarters, Lowered with Steeda suspension. Handles great, very responsive. Steeda is one of the Ford factory race teams, the suspension package is great. It's firm but not choppy and it handles great. Struts were replaced with KYB GR2's when car was lowered. 20" ICI wheels with 30 series Hankook tires. Black wheels with polished lips. Less than 6k on wheel and tire package. Looks absolutely fabulous. If you are into cars with cool wheels, this will make all your buddies jealous. This car makes Civics with 17" or 18" wheels look like a joke. No major tire clearance issues, but it's possible to rub the fender over a big bump if turning sharply. Not a problem in everyday driving. Slotted rotors and performance pads in front, stock brakes in back. Front wheel bearings were both replaced before storing it last winter. Interior front and rear seating upholstery has been upgraded to red Katzkin leather with dark gray suede inserts. It's the premium Corinthian leather, very soft. This was about $1500 worth of upholstery. Carpet has been replaced with new. The interior panels were kind of beat up when I got it, so I changed them out for the 2003 panels (slightly darker gray, nicer looking). Includes a nice audio system. Alpine CD with iPod input (2008). JL Audio ZR front component speakers (These were $800). JL Audio XR rear speakers (these were $400). TMA 4 channel amp (little brother to JL Audio). Amp is hidden in the spare tire well since a spare 20" would not fit in there anyway.. Wired with premium JL audio wiring and RCAs (over $400 in parts there). Already has 4 gauge power, subwoofer RCA, and video RCA run if you want to upgrade the audio. Has a Viper alarm system (2007). Stuff you should know before bidding. (Check my feedback, I want to give an accurate account of items I'm selling.) No air conditioning. It was equipped with air originally, but that was bypassed to free up additional horsepower. Not sure if any parts were removed. Gauge cluster was replaced, so mileage appears about 40k lower than actual. The title states "not actual mileage". The original instrument cluster did not have a tach, so I traded it out for this one. This shows up on the "AutoCheck"vehicle condition repoort as odometer fraud because the emissions station guy wrote down the mileage on the odometer instead of the actual mileage that I told him. Actual mileage is about 59800 miles more than shown on the odometer. No fraud going on, just parts upgrading. This also shws up as a "major title issue" somehow. It's not. I have a clear title with no liens ready to sign over to the new owner. Not including the car itself, there are about $16000 in modifications and upgrades to this vehicle. It's a great car. My insurance company had no problem writing a policy for $18000 replacement value on this vehicle. You can't build anything even close to this car for the purchase price. Since the economy sucks right now so i understand I am going to sell it at a giant loss (well, good for you, bad for me). Feel free to contact me for additional information, pictures, to see the vehicle or to go for a test ride if you are in the Milwaukee metro area. I don't check my ebay mail all the time, send to fred@cgspremier.com for a quicker response. My phone number is 262-510-6188, please only call if you are serious. If I don't pick up, I will return your call after work. Best time to reach me is between 5 and 10 pm, please don't call after 10. Remember, to bid on a vehicle Ebay may require some additional infomation from you (they did the last time I bid on something big, may have changed it since then), make sure you take care of that ahead of time so you don't miss out on making a bid if you plan to do so. Please don't bid if you don't have the money. If you plan on financing with your bank, set that up ahead of time, they may have issues with financing a modified vehicle, or with the age of the vehicle. If you have a wife, ask her before bidding. Not trying to be a jerk, but I've had that happen in previous auctions. Thanks for taking the time to investigate this listing. Now if you would please hit the "place a bid" button and type in a large number............... Keywords for searches: Honda, Integra, Civic, GSR, Type R, Talon, tuner, WRX, STI, MR2, Celica
