Vehicle Detail
I bought this back in 2003 as part of a collection along with several other bikes, just for fun. I had two of these but sold one last year and was going to keep this one, just to scoot around on, but have decided to move and par down my collection, so out it goes. Now, I went thru this bike thoroughly installing new plug, wire, condensor, points, coil, fuel line (with tiny filters) and the fuel tank. I wanted this bike to be reliable, and this was the only way to do that. It has been stored and NOT used since I bought it. I added fuel the other day and started it up even though the battery was weak, and ran it around for 1/2 hour in my backyard. It runs fine and does not smoke. It has new tires and tubes, with nubs still on them, and the wheels are pretty nice with a few flecks of rust, but nothing major. I have never looked at the auxillury fuel tank, but it is there complete with braket, and the seat is nice and unmolested. The bike has both side stand and center stand. No leakes, no smoking, solid exhaust...ready to ride. There is one small crack on the plastic that covers the frame, but it is less than an inch and is where an attachment screw holds the plastic to the frame down low. Also the tiny knob that adjusts the tripometer is missing....so you canNOT reset the tripper. This is a clean bike, has the ratchet style handlebars so that the bike will lay flat on the back of an RV...as in years past hundreds of these were the way to go thru the woods going hunting or camping or just playing around. They leave a light foot print. They are extremely quiet. Simple bikes that are easy to fix if they break, yet sip the fuel and go forever on a tank load of gas. They are still popular and this is a fine example of a honda bike. If you need more shots of something...just let me know. Snowgoer49@gmail.com I will send them along. My reserve is pretty low and below what I paid for the bike when I bought it. Anyone who wants to see the bike before bidding on it...drop me a line and we can set up a time to see it. It is a sharp bike and has not had hard use. Bid knowing this is one of the best bikes around.
