Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1967 Ford Fairlane 500. I purchased this car from a friend of mine whose grandmother passed away a couple of years ago. The car was purchased for the lady and had been in the family since. It has just turned 19,000 actual miles. The husband had a company vehicle that they drove any significant distance which contributed greatly to the low mileage. The car is all original at this time except for the wheels and tires. I have the original wheels and hub caps. I did add a modern CD player and speakers to the vehicle, but I mounted the CD player and front speakers below the dash so as to not damage the original radio. I removed the original rear deck lid so that I could mount speakers in the rear of the car and not cut holes in the original material. I still have the rear lid. The factory AM radio does still work and plays through a single speaker mounted in the dash. I can have the car back in original condition with the radio removed in a couple of hours. The original wheels do need to be sandblasted and painted and are lacking tires. The hub caps are in excellent condition. When I bought the car, it had been in a garage for fifteen or so years. The interior of the car didn't need anything done to it other than a cleaning. The car only shows the normal patina you would expect from general use. The exterior of the car had very small specks of superficial rust when we pulled it out, so we had it painted back the original color. The body is solid with no rust problems - I made sure of that before I bought it. The only things that have been done to the car, mechanically, would be normal maintenance items: plugs and wires, starter, battery, oil and filters and exhaust. The particulars on the car is that it is a 1967 Fairlane 500 Sedan. Cruise-o-matic automatic transmission. The motor is a 289-V8 with a two-barrel carb. It is powder (baby) blue with a Wimbledon white top. It does not have A/C, power steering or power brakes. I had not got around to dressing the motor, so that would need to be done in order to make it a full-out show car. The family hung on to everything regarding paperwork, so I have the owner's manual and the invoice from Searcy Ford in Tupelo, MS. I will add the vehicle number to the listing later. Thanks TomOn Jun-30-10 at 05:43:48 PDT, seller added the following information:The VIN Number and codes for the car are: 7A34C200580 54B FM 4B 05D 63 0 W Email me if you want to know the meaning of the numbers.
