Vehicle Detail
1954 Ford 2 door. I have had this car for about 20 years. I drove it at one time. I removed the engine and sold it. It was not the original engine. The car doe's not have a transmission or engine. Most of the interior is not original. It now has bucket seats and custom door panels. The back seat is original except it is upholstered the same as the bucket seats. The front cross member where the A frams bolt into is rusted. I took care of my Dad for over 17 years because he could not read or write. He passed last November. It was hard to get over. I couldn't find time to work on the car or any of my cars anymore. I brought my mother home last month to preserve her dignity. I had no other option. The nursing home would not toilet her anymore. She threw the bed pan at the workers and scratched them. She had a stroke about twelve years ago and lost her speech. She is paralyzed on her right side and has a peg tube for feeding and medications. I do all the feedings and her care with no financial help from my family and little help from the State of Arizona. Waiting to see if the feeding formula is going to be paid or denied. I take care of her on her social security. I am applying to be her care giver and if that works i will get paid 27 hours a week. Until this happens i am selling my car collection to make my house payments. I think the car is worth the price and could be made into a beautiful street rod. The advantage to an old car is that is does not have to pass emissions in Arizona. You can put any engine you want in it. Registration is about $20 dollars a year. I love my old cars and i am sorry to see this car go. I never see many 1954 cars and i love the body style. I only have one mother. I am not asking for sympathy or charity. I am having hard times like many Americans. I am selling the car at a fair price. I have posted more pictures today July 9th 2010. I will be posting more pictures of the interior and under the car soon. The dash has lost it's shine. I stripped it with air craft stripper and painted it years ago. I am working on getting the dirt off it. The dash might have to be wet sanded and repainted. The picture of the right side of the dash was taken today after i waxed it.
