Here is a 1988 Cadillac Allante convertible with only 82,076 miles since new. As the photos show, this Pinifarina design luxury convertible looks great in its current condition. With a little TLC this car could look amazing. The exterior is in good condition overall and other than a minor crease in the drivers door and a small crack in the windshield corner, the car presents itself very well. The white metallic paint is healthy and the car still turns heads. The red leather interior has tremendous potential. The seams on the leather seats have separated due to age and could easily be repaired. The leather that wraps the steering wheel has shrunk a bit and could use a new leather wrap. The car is loaded with state of the art designed equipment. Due to a lack of time, our shop has not thoroughly gone through the vehicle so we do not know if all equipment is functioning properly. We do know the air appears to blow but it..s not cold, the radio works but with some interference and the ..brake.. light is lit. With regard to the convertible top function; the front unlatches easily and the rear boot cover opens as well. The rear windows appear to be hung up and preventing the top from folding down. The car happens to drive really well. The car stars without hesitation and the transmission shifts beautifully. The V8 engine is very powerful and the car feels strong and confident. We have a few scattered service receipts from the previous owner. In November of 2009 the fuel pump, fuel filter and battery were replaced, the brake system was flushed, 4 new tires were installed and an alignment was performed costing about $1,700.00. Shortly thereafter the radiator was repaired in January 2010. Understand that this Allante is being sold in AS IS condition. The car may need work and as we mention earlier, our shop does not have the time to dedicate to diagnose and/or perform any repair work. OUR LOSS IS YOUR GAIN! We also have the ability to issue 30-day temporary license plates to any of our out-of-town customers that can provide us with proof of insurance for the vehicle being purchased. The plate fee is $35.00. Unfortunately, MA is the only U.S. state that does not accept temporary license plates. This vehicle is being sold AS IS and with no warranty; unless otherwise advertised.
