I’m being forced to sell my baby due to the loss of my job. I’m a 42 year old who happens to be a DSM lover as I own two of them. This is one of the best Talons out there, I’ve actually been asked by a stranger what kind of new car it is, lol. She has 146,000 miles on her (only about 85,000 on the engine and turbo) but that is rising since she is my daily driver. She is ready to drive anywhere in the country. The oil has been changed, rear brakes and front brakes are new, tires are rotated ( could use a balance though), and all belts have been changed (this is important since the timing belt is expensive to do). The car itself has a few performance upgrades including a ported and polished 14b turbo, K&N filter, and 3” full exhaust system. On the outside she has hand painted stripes and logos done by MK John Studios. She has the very rare 17” OZ Futura rims which cost a whopping $4,000 new and new tires that were another $400. Also included are the stock rims with tires. The spare tire is still in the car and is brand new still. She has a aftermarket sunroof that doesn’t leak at all. The lights have been upgraded to Silverstars including the bulbs in the Catz foglights. The tinted power windows work well (most Talons have trouble with power windows). On the inside she has cold air conditioning. The stock gauge cluster display has been updated to a TOS DSM racing cover. Three new TOS gauges were added to the A-pillar. A 4th gauge will be included as well. As far as I know these gauges are one of a kind; they look sweet! The steering wheel is a Grant GT type. The seats look new as well are the added panels for the stereo equipment. She has one of a kind Sceamin’ Eagle floor mats. The car has never been smoked in and has always been stored inside. Like I said earlier, she is ready to drive anywhere. Check her out on Car Domain @ http://www.cardomain.com/id/knewblewkorvette then click on the 1992 EagleTalon. Feel free to check out my other cars as well. She can also be seen @ http://www.competitiveaudio.com/main_nav.html then click on install gallery and scroll down. Stereo Description This Talon has a awesome stereo. This car won the 0-100 watt consumer class at the USAC finals and qualified for one of four spots in the best of show judge off. It was featured in the November 2000 issue of Car Audio and Electronics magazine (included) along with winning the USAC World Points Championship title. It is one of the best sound quality cars in the country. The stereo equipment included with the car is three USAmps amplifiers (two VLX-25s and one 50HC) worth $2800 new. Also included are the speakers which are a set of Focal 136KX, four 10” Image Dynamics IDQ-10D subwoofers, and two 8” Pioneer woofers all worth almost $1500 new. Miscellaneous equipment includes two Optima gel-cell batteries (one is brand new), an Alumipro CAP 15 Farad capacitor, and allot of Stinger wire and accessories all worth about $1400. All of this is protected by a Excalibur 1800ATV alarm system which was $400. That’s a total of over $6000 in stereo equipment alone, not including the install costs; although, the car does not include a head unit or signal processors. If the auction price is below $2500 all the stereo equipment does not come with the car. If you do not want the stereo, I will entertain the idea of purchasing of the equipment from you. As with all older cars she does have some minor problems. The tint is coming off the passenger's side window. Neither power mirrors work (fuse maybe??) The driver's seat back has just started not latching right, I'll try and fix that this week. Finally, she does leak/burn engine oil. Terms of Sale A $500 non-refundable deposit by PayPal within 48 hours of auction close. I will accept cash (preffered), cashiers check, or money order for balance payment. The vehicle’s title is clear and in my possession so we can close the transaction as soon as funds are received. If another payment is preferred, contact me before bidding so we can arrange the details. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS TO PAY. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time so do not wait till the last moment to bid. The car is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I will help in the pick-up of the car. We have a airport near by and I’m willing to pick you up there. I will also work with a mover if you so desire.
