Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 1991 BMW 735i with power windows, power steering, power door locks, power moonroof / sunroof combo, cruise control, power brakes, power seats, power head rests, AM/FM cassette radio, all leather, heated seats, dual climate control, rear defrost, driver air bag, passenger air bag, first aid kit, etc. I paid $ 4,900 for this BMW from a dealer last year and then invested an additional $ 2,000+ in new tires, new radiator, new brakes, new window guides, new window motor (driver side), new A/C, etc. This BMW has always been garaged is almost completely rust free. It has 124,103 original miles. Every single electronic feature works perfectly on this BMW, the A/C is freezing cold, the heat is very hot, the heated seats warm up very quickly. There are no dents or dings or scratches on the body and the paint has a deep black shine after a fresh coat of car wax. The sound system is great and the BMW gets very good gas mileage. There are no signs of wear or tears any where on the leather interior - with the exception of a 4 or 5 inch tear along a seam on the bottom of the driver seat that could be easily repaired. The interior and exterior of this BMW are in excellent condition. It is currently inspected for both mechanical and emissions. If you are shipping this car on an auto trailer - I will work with your carrier for the pick-up of this BMW. There is one very important thing to know about this BMW before you place any bid. THIS BMW NEEDS TO HAVE THE HEAD GASKET REPLACED AND NEEDS A NEW HEAD GASKET. Three separate mechanics have told me this - so I am confident this is correct. I do not believe the head itself is cracked at all. The BMW will start right up and then run fine for 15 to 20 minutes before over heating. There is no anti-freeze that has mixed with the oil - but there is the odor of anti-freeze in the exhaust and spots of anti-freeze that can be seen coming from the exhaust. I have been quoted the cost of a rebuilt engine for this BMW to be between $500 and $900 with an avaerage installation cost of $700 for the rebuilt engine. Replacing the engine is most likely less costly than replacing the head gasket. If you know some one who is a mechanic or very handy - the parts needed to replace the head gasket in this BMW are $120 - it's the cost of labor that is very expensive. This BMW has served me well on many road trips - and could be a great high quality luxurious BMW to drive for the next 10+ years. Bid with confidence.
