Vehicle Detail
For sale in this auction is my 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. This car was originally built out of the Texas factory and has spent all of its life in the Texas and Oklahoma area up until approx. 9 years ago upon coming to Missouri and has spent the last 7 years of that sitting in storage until the last 2 months of wich we got it out and started going through everything. The car has no rust anyplace! The car has new tires and wheels as the old tires had dry rot so we decided to up date the whole package with a little bit newer but old style, the front rims are 18" and the rears are 20". The monster 468 BBC motor has been gone through and checked over. We have replaced all fuel lines, new fuel pump, inline filters, new baffle foam in the 15 gallon fuel cell, carb, victor jr. intake and K&N filter. The car was used from approx. 1982 to 2000 for a drag car and had a high rise tunnel ram setup on it and we wanted to turn it into a more streetable cruise car so that is the reason for replacing everything. We have the original cowl hood for the car also that does go with the car but it does have a hole cut in it for a tunnel ram setup. Now for a little more specifics on the motor and so on as this thing is a thumper and capable of running low 10's in the 1/4 mile on slicks. The motor as stated is a 454 bored to a 468, it is a very high compression motor, with high dome pistons and aftermarket crank & rods but no one can remember what brand, solid lift roller cam, the heads have been milled with extensive port work and have over sized ferrera valves, manley push rods, lunati roller rockers and double valve springs. Has Hooker Super Competition 2 1/4" frame wrap headers. It has an MSD Billet distributor with MSD 6AL box with a two step rev chip box, 8.8 Accel plug wires and MSD HVC Blaster Coil. The car has a custom Onnies drag built 2 speed powerglide, with scatter shield and trans. brake, 4000 stall convertor and B&M shifter. The car runs cool from stop light to stop light and in heavy traffic as it has a high flow CSR Billet electric water pump, 4 core aluminum racing radiator and dual electric fans. Also the car has a custom low mount 1 wire alternator with billet mounts and dual batteries in trunk. The car has a 12 bolt posi track rear with 4:10 gears. It has an eight point roll cage, drag buckets and belts, drive shaft loop and safety electrical shutoff. Also inside the car it has a monster tach with shift light, water and temp guages. As previously stated the car has no rust anyplace that we can find, anyplace you pull up the carpets it still looks new under and is a super solid car. The car is mechanically solid as can be and a super fast street car or throw a set of slicks on and head to the track! The car needs minor body work as the right rear quarter has seen damage on multiple occasions from sitting over on the right rear and tire getting into it at the drag strip many years ago and has never been fixed correctly, also the last time the car was painted was 1983 so with a new paint job and a little body repair this could be one super nice car or enjoy it as is. Very hard to find one of these and especially a rust free car. I do also know that over $20,000.00 had been invested in motor and drive train alone at one time so here is your chance to get ahold of a super classic car that is selling in AS IS Condition with NO RESERVE! Also we have the original purchase papers for the car! Buyer is responsible for making any shipping arrangments needed! $500.00 deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction and full payment due within 3 days of end of auction. Good Luck Bidding!
