I am very happy to be offering for sale my absolutely breathtaking California black plate, 1951 MG TD, finished in its correct and stunning British Racing Green. The car's two California owners (who happen to be close friends and British car enthusiasts) have diligently and passionately looked after their MG to the highest degree possible throughout its pampered lifetime. This is a very special and immaculate MG TD that needs to find a third owner who is as passionate about its care and upkeep as its previous two were. The car's exterior is pristine. Its British Racing Green paint is absolutely flawless, free of even the smallest rock chips. The body could not be any straighter and correct. This car has never seen an accident. This car has never seen weather. Therefore, this car has never seen rust. It is 100% rust free. The wood is solid and free of any and all rot and deterioration. All of the rubber is perfect. All of the trim is perfect and correct. The chrome is in excellent condition. The interior is fantastic. The seats are nearly perfect, the carpets are excellent, the door panels are great, and its original tonneau cover is perfect. All four side curtains are included. Due to the rest of the cars near perfection, I decided to replace the soft top due to some slight fading in the canvas. The correct stayfast soft top is on order from Moss Motors and will be installed on the car as soon as it is delivered. The car runs and drives like a dream, as its original owner was a British mechanic who kept the car in superb running order. Its original 1250cc engine is extremely strong and starts effortlessly with no smoke or hesitation. The transmission is solid and pulls strongly through each or its four gears. Unlike many MG T series I have driven, the first gear is actually usable. Its last full tune up was 100 miles ago where it received a new fuel pump and the carbs were tuned. As the photographs try to illustrate, this is a wonderful and original MG TD in exquisite condition that deserves the consideration of even the most serious collector. But please do so before bidding, as the alternative harms my ability to make sales with other interested parties who have done their proper due diligence before bidding. For U.S. buyers a 10% non-refundable deposit is required within 3 days of the auction's end, the balance to be paid within 7 days of the auction's end. Foreign buyers must pay in full within 7 business days of auction’s end. Buyer is responsible for shipping, however I'd be more than happy to help with recommendations and arrangements.
