The Ghia has been fun, but it is too small for all of us. My KG is complete and in excellent condition. All the work is done, just drive! Everything is in 8-10 shape. I can provide any pictures you need, just let me know what you want. Only two things need to be finished. The windshield washer needs to be hooked up, all the parts are there, I just haven't decided to ad an electric pump or go to the pressurized system. I have yet to find the interior light that I want to install. Sapphire 1 radio is period correct, turns on but just receives static. VDO fuel, oil temp, pressure,and voltmeter. Everything else is A-1 and functioning. I just took a 150 mile drive through Vermont, every thing worked fine. Owners manual, 1961 brochure and reproduction tool kit included. No evidence of accidents, nose never hit. Favorite import award at Hemmings Motor News event August 2009. New York buyer can have the original 1961 black NY plates transfered to them. This car came to me from California-Absolutely no rust issues what so ever. This is a "beautiful day", car has never seen inclement weather. Paint is excellent with a few minor blemishes from use. New stainless steel bumpers, wide whitewalls are like new. Tan canvas top is like new. Like new interior. 12V alternator, new master cylinder in 08, converted to dual circuit brakes for safety reasons. Whenever I drive it I get complements and thumbs ups. I am pretty sure this is not the original mileage, for a car almost 50 years, old who knows? Engine is strong, my guess is a 1500cc, a few VW oil drips, no smoke, no oil burning. I have no way to verify if the engine is original. For a Karmann Ghia lover, you would be hard pressed to find a better example of this vintage. Excellent driver and show winner.
