Vehicle Detail

Nice example of a very desirable year. Numbers match. I rode this bike regularly for the last couple of years so it is sorted and runs well with no smoke or funny noises. Starts first kick. Recent paint in correct colors from Don Hutchinson. New wiring harness and other misc. parts like gaiters, carbs rebuilt, etc. I replaced the complete headlight/ammeter assembly with an NOS (never on a bike) unit because the old one had a small dent in the shell. Tail light lense is Lucas, but one reflector is repro. Both petcocks were replaced with expensive British units, not the cheap ones from Taiwan. Dunlop K70s have about 300 miles on them. Actual mileage on the bike and engine is unknown. Tachometer and speedometer both work, but odometer does not. Case has old damage from a broken chain - shown in photo. Wheels are in great shape with just minor pitting. Missing one horn and could use a new in-line brake light switch - sometimes the brake light does not turn off. A few spots of oil underneath after sitting. This is a great looking rider in one of my favorite colors, but I have four Bonnevilles, so one has to go. Please ask all questions before bidding. Buyer is responsible for shipping, but I will assist however I can. I will not sell or ship outside the United States. On Jul-02-10 at 21:55:37 PDT, seller added the following information: For some reason, Ebay is not displaying the photographs as large images. Please email me if you need high resolution images or specific views - happy to accommodate! On Jul-05-10 at 14:29:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I've been getting a lot of questions about the case damage. If you are familiar with Triumphs, you know this is a pretty common problem when a chain breaks - it takes a chunk out of the case above the chain. It in NO WAY affects the mechanical operation or causes any type of oil leak. The bike runs and rides fine. It is a cosmetic issue only. The case could be repaired if you wanted to completely restore the bike.
