Vehicle Detail

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: We have for sale a restored 1967 Mustang coupe. This car has very low mileage, only 63,936. It s a rock solid southern car that has always lives close to me here in east Tennessee, it was sold in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We have the original window sticker, I love to read how cheap the options cost back then. The Acapulco blue paint is stunning and the 2 tone original interior goes perfect with it. This car runs and drives as good as it looks. Things work on the car, “everything works”. HISTORY: Sold in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It went to Dayton, Tennessee and belonged to a man there for many years. When he passed away may friend David Wilkey bought it. VIN: 7TO1C196446 MILAGE: 63932 TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand with matching VIN. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEM? None that I can find, no rust bubbles or cracks in the paint. No rusty holes on the underside and the frame is straight and solid. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find, no warped or kinked frame members and the title indicated none. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m listing and helping my friend David Wilkey sell this car. David is a car restorer and bought the car because he loved it. PAINT: The paint is gorgeous, its Acapulco blue. This is a deep metallic blue with lots of metal flake. It’s the original color of the car. The paint was original and had lot of fading and chips. My friend David painted the car with a high quality PPG base/clear coat paint. It’s a nice paint job, it has no dings, no dents, no cracks, no rust, no dry spots, no runs and shines like a brilliant blue diamond. CHROME: New bumper and most emblem are new. The stainless is very nice the vent window pillar post have a few minor pits. INTEROR: All original interior other than new carpet and step plates. The headliner is good, it does not sage not faded. The seat covers are original, they are nice, but have 4 or 5 cracks, they are so nice David hated to change them “they don’t cost a lot of money to change”. GLASS: New windshield, all other glass is good and the side windows roll up and down good. SOUND SYSTEM: Original AM radio does not work, but the dash has not been cut. ENGINE: Rebuilt 289 that runs strong. EXHAUST SYSTEM: New dual exhaust with aluminized pipes. TRANSMISSION: C4 3 speed automatic that shifts the way it should. BRAKES: Like new, not power assisted, but stop real good. STEERING: The car drives great! The steering needs nothing, it is not power, but the car steers nice. TIRES: New radials. LIGHTS: They all work! HORN WORKS! WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GUAGES: They all work! LOTS OF NEW PARTS: Battery, all tune up parts, shocks, brakes, windshield, tires, paint, chrome, new rubber weather stripping, and a new windshield HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? The way they did from the factory. PAPERWORK: I know what to do! I am a Tennessee licensed car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. The license and bonding is expensive for a small father/son operation, but need to make things legal and make them happen without problems. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. CALL DAVID WILKEY WITH QUESTIONS: 423-368-1216 CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM eastern time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles below Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. I WILL ONLY PICK YOU UP AT THE AIR PORT UNLESS THE CAR IS PAID FOR IN FULL, I HAVE MADE TOO MANY WILD GOOSE CHASES! RENTAL CARS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE AIRPORT! WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. I am 63 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 38. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens for many years. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! US TRANSPORT: “No problem”, I can recommend a very large company, McNutt Auto Transport Service 800-755-2324. EXPORT: I like Trans Ocean Auto, they make it easy. 908-788-7001 transoceanauto@yahoo.com I also like Viking Transport, LLC, 757-727-7979 john@vikingtransport.net MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75), so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $500 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake one. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspection have to be done before the end of the listing.- TRADES: Trades are hard! If you live close and are willing to drive your car to me and look I will consider, but I am only interested in classics “no cycles, boats or late model stuff! I can tell you in advance I probably will not trade. BOTTOM LINE: David is asking $16,000 for the car and will take $15,000. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com
