Just so everyone knows-this van was SOLD about a week ago to a seemingly polite guy from Tulsa. He drove up in a new Toyota and proceeded to pick this 22 year old van apart. It is a 1988-and sold for $2800-less than some bicycles I own. I am selling it for a friend and so have NO financial interest in cheating you and it is as nice as I say (I had two mechanics also agree-it is a 9 on a scale of 1-10 for its age). The grey carpets aren't stained-they might have a footprint on them, and the van has NO parts missing, the air blows cold, and I had to crawl all over the thing to find the torn material-the sun coming in the window behind the drivers seat has aged material in 1 seat and it started to fray lengthwise. (I don't expect most people to think this van is going to be new-but obviously the Oklahoma guy did) The guy who I am selling it for makes too much money to be bothered by something like this and so I offered to help-and I got my ONLY NEGATIVE FEEDBACK on eBay because of it. He is happy to talk to a potential buyer and I can give you his phone number if you want to. If you are expecting to come buy a van that has been in a time capsule-this is not it. If you are realistic about what you can buy in a 22 year old vehicle then you will be amazed how nice this is. As with the first guy-if you don't like it I would not expect you to pay for it. Just be realistic! My friend and I thought it would be good to get a checkout before I listed it and I drove it the 1100 miles to CO and back a couple of weeks ago and I just took it to have the oil changed today. I would trust this van to go anywhere! If you follow my auctions you know I have been selling used ATV's on eBay for over 9 years and am an avid powersports enthusiast-and so are most all my friends! This van actually was our "special event" van and is what we used pulling our snowmobiles or ATV's to our riding spots over the years. It belongs to a life long friend who bought it in the late 1990's and he has always kept it in his garage until we pulled it out for a weekend of riding. He is a huge Ford fan and is now building a Mustang "Bullit" and doesn't have room to keep it inside so it needs to be sold. Since I am familier with eBay-I got the job! Anyway, this is an exceptionally nice full size van that is very unique in that it has the legendary 300 inline 6! Anyone who has ever been around these engines knows that they have a reputation for lasting until 500,000 miles or so and have incredible torque for pulling trailers. This is the fuel injected version so it gets really good fuel milage and is not temperamental to elevation or temperatures. The reason we used a van like this is that it is simple (and has readily available parts in any parts house in the smallest town, anywhere in America or Canada) and can be repaired easily and cheaply. It was built when they actually put good steel in them and will last virtually forever. It has never been abused on salty roads or mud and has never had any rust on it. The paint was upgraded about 6 years ago to a more modern graphic scheme and this van is easily a 9 on a scale of 1-10 (I still stand behind this on a 22 year old van). Burns no oil, cruise works, drives perfectly, and you could reliably use this van for years for your daily transportation. A great van to use for camping trips, and it can easily seat 8 so is great for a family vacation. The rear bench seat folds to a bed so you can do some overnighters and it has a table that fits into the aluminum housing you see in the picture. This is an incredibly nice van that only has 129,000 miles and I am pricing it at less than 10% of a new one with NO RESERVE! On the auto check thing that pulls up on an eBay listing it shows potential odometer problems. It has never been tampered with and has a limit of 99,999 miles and rolled over and started back at 00001. Now it shows right at 30,000. Barry has just signed the title for fat guy out of Tulsa and since he didn't buy it, it needs top be sold immediately.
