Vehicle Detail

Amazing 1968 Mustang Fastback Bullitt Tribute done right! 390FE/4 speed toploader/9" Rear. NO RESERVE! BID TO WIN! If you're in the market for an Eleanor, Shelby, or Bullitt tribute, this may be the fastback you've been waiting for. This fastback just completed a $15k paint and body restoration. All panels were removed and prepped/painted individually. The car was stripped down to the bare metal and done right. No shortcuts. The undercarriage was simply cleaned up and lightly coated so the new owner can rest assured that nothing is hiding under heavy coats of chassis paint. Even the floorboards were cleaned up and coated. If you pull the carpet, it looks just as good as the rest of the car. All panels were gap aligned. Everyone who has seen this fastback in person comments that it is one of the straightest fastbacks they've ever seen. I have over 100 photos documenting the process that will be given to the new owner upon purchase. Over $40k invested into this car. A Bullitt needs a 390FE Engine. No excuses why anything else should be in there. In my opinion, simply painting a fastback green and throwing on a set of torque thrust wheels just won't do. If you share the same sentiments, you'll appreciate what we've done with the car. The car was built to be reliable and powerful. A beefed up 390FE with a 4 speed toploader and 3.89 gears makes this thing an absoulte torque monster. This car is a blast to drive. This is an original C-Code Fastback that was built in Michigan. Original 289/4spd/power brakes car. Original color was some sort of gold, from what we found when we stripped the car. Exterior: Correct Highland Green Paint Code Correct tailight panel blackout treatment Correct emblem delete - holes have been filled for a factory appearance Engine: 390FE Engine - Conservatively estimated at 350HP/400+ TQ Ported and Polished C6AE-R Castings - GT Cross-bolt pattern NEW Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum Intake Custom Grind Comp Cam hydraulic flat tappet camshaft - Sounds Great. Good lope. Very streetable Mallory Unilite Electronic Distributor (no points) NEW Accel 8mm Plug Wires NEW Holley 4brl 600cfm Carburetor. Mech. choke. Vac secondaries. We sized it on the small side to ensure maximum throttle response. It could easily take a 750cfm though I would suggest a 670cfm street avenger if you want to get a bit more aggressive with the carb. Rear End: Ford 9" Lincoln Versailles unit. 31 spline axles w/ 3.89 traction lock differential. Awesome! Cooling: NEW huge aluminum 3 core radiator w/ electric fan. Keeps things cool. Worry free driving Transmission: Had to keep it old school. 4 speed wide ratio toploader transmission Hurst inline shifter w/ T handle Exhaust: Beautiful NEW Ceramic Coated Hooker Super Competition Long Tube Headers. Coated inside and outside. Massive primaries Custom Built 3" H Pipe Custom 3" Exhaust with Flowmaster Mufflers - A strong 390FE with a 3" exhaust sounds like nothing else on the road Suspension: Complete Grab-A-Track Suspension kit from Mustangs Plus. #620 lowering springs with 1" lowering blocks. Massive front sway bar upgrade. Brakes: 4 wheel power disc brakes! Granada Discs up front Versailles discs in the rear NEW master cylinder. 4 wheels power discs are perhaps the most worthwhile upgrade one can make on any classic mustang. These things stop the car on par with a modern vehicle. Wheels: 17" x 8" Rev Wheels. Grey centers with machined lip. Correct fitment for classic mustang. No spacers needed. Wearing 235/40/17 rubber. I thought long and hard before going with something other than a black face 15" Torq Thurst D wheel (original bullitt), but these wheels, combined with the cars stance give it a fresh and unique take on the original Bullitt car. The car is in fantastic shape. It has no more than 250 miles on it since completing the paint and body work. Unfortunately, I have to sell it. Be prepared to make plenty of friends at gas stations and be the recipient of numerous thumbs up every time you drive this car. In the interest of time, I had to put the vehicle up for sale before addressing a few items that I want to be clear about. The bumpers, along with the door handles have not been reconditioned. I meant to replace them with brand new items and it is what I would suggest the new owner do. They are not in bad shape by any means, however, the rest of the car is amazing and these low dollar items should be replaced to match the rest of the vehicle. Lastly, I am relisting this fastback after having ended the auction early for a local buyer who failed to come through on this $36k purchase agreement. With apologies to all interested parties but I can not afford to go through that again. The car will NOT be sold outside of the auction process. Thank and good luck.
