1985 Suzuki GS1150EF Vehicle Description This is a 1985 Suzuki GS1150EF with 11986 original miles. The bike is fully serviced, runs excellent, and needs nothing to be driven on a daily basis. We purchased this bike in 2008 from the local Suzuki dealer that originally sold the bike in 1985. It had been returned to that dealer by its original owner as a trade-in in 2008. It had one owner since then, who had the bike for 5 months and put 400 miles on it. We bought it back in Spring 2009. Paint is stock / original and in near-new condition. Engine is also stock, with no oil leaks or other issues. Brakes, suspension, gauges, charging system, lights, signals, horn, etc. all work as they are suppoosed to. Exhaust is a Bassani 4 into 1 black. The original carbs have K&N air filters on them, the carbs have been professionally jetted to match the pipe and the air filters, and the plugs burn super clean.........There are no running issues with this bike. There are no missing tabs on any of the plastic body pieces. There are approximately 450 miles on new Bridgstoine BT-45V tires. A new AGM battery, and a new RK o-ring chain were installed 3 miles ago. Negatives on this bike: The header has 3 small dings at the first bend on pipes 1, 3, and 4. I have no idea how they got there. They don't affect perfromance at all. The pipe is an old Bassani from 1985 with a very unique tag on the megaphone (see pic). One of the small, 1/2" diameter "buttons" covering the rear tank panel retaining screws is a fake.........3 are original, but the bike was missing one when I got it, and new ones are NLA........The fake does the job, though. There is a 1/2 inch long hairline crack on the bottom of the left sidecover, which has been epoxied on the inside.....Too small to see without glasses on. It's not getting any bigger, and it does not affect the outward appearance of the cover. Overall, this GS1150 is in remarkable condition. Compared to those that remain, this is one of the few that hasn't been turned into a drag bike, or bored out and made radical. The shape of the original paint is amazing, as is the condition of most of the bike. Cosmetically, this bike is way above average...... and mechanically, this bike is excellent. It remains in this condition because it has never been abused by any of its owners, and has never been down. It's great fun to drive. Nodbody will be disappointed with this bike.
