Classic Calif, Original black plate, 1965 Mustang, 6 cylinder, 3 speed on the floor, W/ 5.0 HO donor Mustang for V8 conversion.... Moving Sale Two for One... The lucky high bidder will get these Law Enforcement seized vehicles for their next vintage project.... The '65 seems to be fairly solid, coming from Sunny SoCal. Some body work appears to have been started. Car is mostly in primer, but some original copper/brown paint is visible. Body still has numerous small chips, dents, cracks, etc. Some surface rust evident. Battery acid has corroded the battery tray. There seems to be a rust hole in the trunk, but have not seen other serious rust thru issues. The original gas tank has a hole in it, but there is a replacement gas tank (see photo), plus, if you go the 5.0 route, the gas tank from the donor car is also there. The car runs and drives (on 5 cylinders). does not smoke. Found a bent push rod, and removed it; probably needs valve job if you want to keep it original 6 cylinder. Items in need of repair/replacement include (but not necessarily limited to) windshield, dash pad, seat covers, carpet, headliner, window regulator, and possibly other undiscovered items since it has not been driven except back and forth in the yard. The hood and trunk latches do not work, but hood pins in lieu of latches would be the plan. The Good News: all parts readily available aftermarket (and here on Ebay) Extras: 65 hood w/Shelby scoop (needs finishing), Shelby-type fiberglass racing front apron, side exhaust mufflers and pipes (see photos). Also shown in photos are front end parts; grill, etc. The corral has one side broken, but there. Other extra parts not shown include rear lights, grill surround, wood grain steering wheel, maybe a few others... Donor V8 veh: 1989 5.0 HO Mustang. Very strong runner w/AC, auto trans - complete veh. The 65 has Calif title (pink slip). The 89 donor has a bill of sale from Police Impound Lot Lien Sale.
