Vehicle Detail

Here is my 1979 Pontiac Trans Am for sale. Good, solid car. I got this car about 10 to 11 years ago. It had just received a brand new 403 Olds engine from Jasper engines. The transmission, (350 Turbo), had just been rebuilt. The rest of the car was awful. I went through it and restored it to the point that you see now. I then sold it for a couple of years and then bought it back. I put brand new Auburn gears, 3.42, in the rear end. A rear disc brake kit was installed and all polyurethane bushings. It has polyurethane body mount bushings. Flowmaster exhaust. HEI ignition with NGK plugs. The moter has an RV cam and headers with an edelbrock intake. I bought a rebuilt quadrajet and put on it. New brake booster and master cylinder and lines from the master. The motor and trans may have 5 to 6 thousand miles on it and that is all. New air compressor and mounts. The air works but the duct work needs to be worked on. I believe I have a vacuum issue with it, but I am currently trying to solve it. The odometer is not completely right. Having a tough time finding the proper cable with the right sized end for the plastic gear at the trans. I don't have the right size spare tire. Just haven't got around to getting it yet. Air intake hose is missing to the scoop. By the way the hood scoop works on this car. Vacuum operated, punch it and the door opens up and feeds fresh air directly to the carb. Very few Trans Ams have that. New Am/Fm CD player and speakers. I had this car painted about 10 yrs ago, and you can tell from the pics that it has held up well. Always garage kept with a cover over it. The rear bumper support is not in very good shape but easily replaced. This is a good solid car. Drives very good and has some good punch. Has a mild shift kit in it and will bark the tires nicely going into second gear. Several of my mechanic friends who don't particularly like trans ams go on about how solid this car is. It needs just a little bit of TLC to make it a very, very nice car. At the car shows I have more people taking pictures of this car than almost any other car there. Buyer responsible for shipping. If it's close enough, I can work with the buyer on delivery. Will accept cash, or verified other forms of payment. Car will stay with me until payment has been verified.
