Vehicle Detail
Looking for a GOOD solid truck you can look good cruizing in and still be able to move you girlfriend (in or out) without having to kill a potential in-law or best friend over a scuff mark? Read on, this might be it. 70's era 1/2 ton Short-Wide-Box GMs, both Chevrolets and GMCs such as this one, have been wildly popular since the days they were still being produced. Nice lines, comfortable interiors and excellent driving qualities made these trucks timeless classics. This '77 hosts a long list of desirable modifications including a professionally lowered suspension, high-end aftermarket 18" & 20" tire and wheel package, custom grill, custom interior and an excellent running 350. The paint on the truck is still presentable but the truck really deserves a high-end paint job to compliment the rest of the truck. The body panels are straight and line up nicely. There are areas of chips and some paint flaking and even a Maaco job would breath some life into the truck. The interior looks nice and has had a seat re-upholstered in a high-end black perforated leather substitute. The material feels just like glove leather and is very comfortable. The carpet was replaced at the same time and fits nicely. A nice, leather-wrapped, polished aluminum Grant steering wheel trims out the interior. The suspension has been modified extensively to achieve that 'Just-Right' stance. Out back the frame has been 'C' notched so the truck has enough suspension travel to ride so comfortably. Up front the control arm mountings have also been done right. The truck is low, but is not the typical rough-rider you see all too often. The 18" front and 20" rear tire and wheel combo has very low miles, less than 1,000. They fit perfectly and I have not observed any rubbing or interference. The 350 engine starts easily and runs well. No smoking, odd noises or feelings of impending doom. The power is good and the truck is fun to drive. The automatic transmission works excellent as well.
