Vehicle Detail

Hi, I'd never thought that I'd be saying this, but the time has finally come to let my 1994 Acura Legend GS 4 door go. I've been driving this car for the past 5-6 yrs now, but my mom bought it for me back in 2005, when I was going to be a junior in high school, so yea. For like 2 & 1/2 yrs, it just sat in our drive way, so the miles didn't go up as they should have. Since I didn't get good grades, she told me that she wanted me to wait until I graduated before she would let me drive. I finally convinced her during my senior year to let me go to driver's ed. And shortly there after, I went down to the DMV of Fullerton, took the test in this car, & passed it on my first try. Here is a link on youtube for those of you who would like to check it out- 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfXD0DWBlWU I'll upload more as time permits- thanks Since then, my mom had been paying for the insurance on my car, until about 4 years ago, when I took over paying for the registration & the insurance. So the title & the registration is in my name. Now even though this car is old, it still runs really good, with no mechanical or electrical problems what so ever. I did get into a tiny accident though when I first got my license. I was pulling out of a restaurants parking lot, & I saw a pick up truck coming. I saw his truck, but not his trailer, (b/c it was one of those low ones), so I pulled out, & next thing I know, my front left fender, & whole front bumper just came right off. So after I explained to the parents what happened, I took it to my mom's mechanics place (she's known this guy for like the last 30 years. (he only works on Honda's or Acura's, so yea..) So when we come back to pick up the car a week later, (some of the parts had to come over from Japan), it cost $1700 to fix. So when all was said, done & installed, I had a new front left headlight & housing, (installed new front headlight bulbs in 2008), new front left fender & a whole new front bumper (painted to match the car's original color: pearl white. He told me that one of his guys used a gold-ish tape thingy, to replicate the gold line that is painted on each side of the car. (I guess he felt lazy, & didn't feel like doing the real work), but its lasted 5+ years, so I guess he did a good job? Anyways, I also had the window tint film removed, since it was starting to crack & peal (a safety issue). (I still have the original receipt for when he paid to have it put on). I also installed an aftermarket cd/ipod player, so if the new owner has an ipod, he/she can connect it via inside the glove box. The driver's window button for the passenger's front right window, the sensor is broken, but the window still works, so if the new owner would like me to fix that, I can, only I'll increase my asking price- mechanic told me that the part was like $70, so yea- not to pricey. My mom bought the car from an elderly couple for $6,000 with about 142,875 miles on it, so I am at least looking to get $3500 out of it, if not at least $3000 even. The old husband told me that when he bought the car, he paid $60,000 for it, so yea. He gave me all 3 keys, plus all the paper work + manuals that came with the car. He also threw in snow chains for free. Everything is up to date on this car. This includes the oil changes, brakes, fluids, timing belts, tires, struts, air filters, etc. The A/C blows cold, & the heat is nice in the winter time. It also comes with power everything, Anti lock brakes, both defrosters (front & rear), the power antenna motor is broken (mechanic told me that the part alone is like $400, so I said forget it). it does have room for a double DIN dvd/ navigation unit, if the new owner would like to set it up that way, I also just had the car smogged (passed clean & clear), & registered, so the new owner is good to go. I also had the back 2 struts replaced, (December of 2009), as well as 6 new spark plugs installed as of April 2010 as well as a main control relay & TW fuel sensor)- as well as the back 2 brake pads(December 2009)- (front are about 50%, rear, 85%). I did have the tires rotated in December of 2009, so yea- They'll have to be replaced soon- like in 3 months or so. (front tires, about 40%) back rear, 55%. The seats are both a little bit worn, but that's normal for a car this age- I can have new leather put in, but remember, I'll only up my asking price then-but I'm sure the total price can be negotiable. I was thinking about tinting the windows, (where I'd go to get it done, costs around $400 starting, so yea). If the new owner would like to tint the windows themselves, just let me know. There is a cd changer hook up thing in the trunk, but I've never installed one back there. Also, the motor for the antenna doesn't work, my mechanic said that he could install a new one for like $400, so I said forget it- I can have a new 1 put in for the new owner, but I'll raise my asking price. I have looked online, as well as in the Kelly Blue Book, so I know what my car can go for via private party fair, good & excellent, as well as trade in fair, good & excellent. I WILL NOT DO payments, so just either bring cash or a check, & we'll go from there. If the new owner would like to do half trade / half cash, just let me know what you got, & I'm sure we can work something out. So either fly out here, or take a bus however you'd like to do it, if you really like this car, come out here & see me, or call me or email me- the only down payment I will do, is if you give me at least $1500 cash, then I can hold it for you. But remember, the bigger the down payment you can give me, the longer I will be able to hold it for you. I WILL NOT hand over the title or the keys, until the new owner's check has cleared at may bank or his / or hers, clean & clear. Once that is done, & everything checks out clean & clear, I'll be totally happy to hand over the title & keys to the new owner. I've put too much money into this car via regular maintenance & upgrades. I was thinking about getting a body kit & newer rims, but I changed my mind. So if you like what you see, & / or have any questions, feel free to email me via this site, or via my email: snowboardsandels@yahoo.com. I check it at least once a day, so if you do email me, don't worry, I'll try and answer each question as best I can, as soon as I can. So if you like what you see, just contact me via here or my email address- I'm open to offers, just don't shoot me an offer to low, or I'll just ignore you- I know what I can get for my car, so NO LOW BALL OFFERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. if you think its a low ball offer, then it probably is. Thanks for taking the time to look at my online listing.I tried to include everything that I know of about the car, so if you have any questions, feel free to email me- thank you and have a great day.
