A rather rare motor cycle. 1980 BMW R65 "airhead" = (air cooled) 650cc in beautiful condition. Not purchased until Dec 21st 1984 (as a Christmas present for a lady). In 1988 it had only 10,600 miles. It now has less than 33,000 miles. A joy to ride! Plenty of power. A great bike for commuting or if you want a light cruiser. Only 452 lbs. with a very low center of balance. Perfect for someone 5'4" to 6' tall. Very well maintained. Complete, recent maintenance / tune-up, carb. tune, new fluids and lots of new parts in the last year like Metzeler tires, carb. parts, electrical switches, battery etc. Brand new factory (Denton) seat. Everything works great. This past winter I took the bike apart and had much of it professionally painted including the tank, fenders, side plates, parts of the frame etc. and now it's ready to proudly ride anywhere! I just rode this about 300 miles in the last two weeks and it runs perrrrrfect! Mileage total is still only 32,650. A little surface rust- only on the exhaust Newer mag "snowflake" front wheel (after recall) small windshield, German hard bags and owner's manual.
