2001 Mercedes Benz A Class CDI Diesel hatchback-NO RESERVE Please do not bid on this vehicle if you do not want to buy it. This is a German car that was imported to the States in 2005 on the East Coast. From there, it appears that the car was in PA auctioned off and ended up in Texas, from Texas to Colorado, and finally to us in California. We’ve owned the car for 3 years. The car is titled and registered in California. For the smog, we have not been required to have it tested. The registration is good until 7/12/2011. We replaced: Electronic shifter, EGR valve, Fan belt and pulley tensioner, and Injectors. The receipts for the car seem to confirm the current mileage which is about 71,457miles (115,000 km which it reads in the car). At the Auto Auction in PA, my guess is they took the km reading and converted up to miles and not down. At that time there was maybe 85,000 - 90,000 km on the car. Does not interfere with driving. We found several windshield replacements on Ebay UK. The key FOB is not working, power locks are working. The hatchback key portion of the lock is not working. There is a slight engine knock at 1500 RPM, after warm up.
