Vehicle is in good shape for the age. - New Clutch done in march. - New Fuel injector Pump ($1300) - New Battery - Tires in decent shape good for another 5-10k miles. because the are low profile tires they last only 20-25k miles. - Brakes new last year. - New radio in march, Ken wood w/ Cd player. - Newer wipers. - New Headlights - Car is undercoated. - Timing Belt changed was told to be changed @ 185k miles prior to when the car was bought @ 192k miles. - Oil changed every 3,000 -3500 miles since I have owned car. - Stereo system sounds great. - Shifts smooth and does great in mountains. Great for long distance commutes, I no longer drive long distances and this is my third car. The Bad... The A/C was blowing Ice cold, I mean ice cold last year, then it decided to stop working this year. Oil light beeps every so often 10 mins or so, oil is at proper level. driving it recently it has stopped, drove for 100 miles with no beeping. I am told it should go away or the dealer would clear the alarm. I live 100 miles from a VW dealer and just haven't had the time to check it out, but as you see I well care for my car. Few scratches on drivers door with rust starting. rust starting near back wheel wells. Alignment is off slightly due to a new part installed in the front, not sure of the name of part. Car was driven 600 miles round trip with no problem what so ever and got 46 MPG. For the Age and what it is you will not be disappointed. On Jun-29-10 at 22:42:15 PDT, seller added the following information: check engine light is on since fuel injector pump was installed. no problems what so ever. works like it did before the light was on. Performance is excellent and inspections will pass with the light on. Fun to drive.
