Vehicle Detail

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION: I have for sale a very nice 1967 Ford F100 pickup that is restored and beautiful. Something about this color combination that look just right on the truck. This is a southern truck that is in great condition, it looks great, stops great and drives like it should. The paint is base coat clear coat buffed to a brilliant shine. The interior shows no wear and has no smoke smell. The 352 FE engine runs like a scalded dog and the 3 on the tree shifter for the manual transmission works right. THIS IS CONSIERED A SHORT BED TRUCK!!!!!!! HISTORY: This is a Tennessee truck that belonged to the last owner since 1980. Sorry to say he pasted away. He would have never sold the truck, but his wife decided to sell it. . VIN: F10YCA72798 LOW MILAGE: 71676 (I can not varifiy this, its just what was told to me and I believe it) DOOR TAG: WB 118~~COLOR 8M~~MODEL F101 BODY D81~~TRANS C~~AXLE 17 TITLE: I have a clear Tennessee title in hand and the VIN matches the truck. The title states that the last owner registered the truck 07-30-80 and that the previous state of registration was Tennessee. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEM? No rusty holes on the underside. The frame is straight and solid. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find, no warped or kinked frame members and the title indicated none. WHY AM I SELLING THIS TRUCK: I am a car restorer and when I find a good deal on a car that I can sell for a good price and make a fair profit I do. I’m not a just a guy that buys cars to resale for a profit, I restore cars. I am retired and doing this for the love of it. PLEASE READ THE WHO YOUR BUYING FROM TO FIND OUT MORE. PAINT: The truck has a magnificent paint job. It is the perfect color for the truck. It has no rust , no runs, no dents, no cracks and shine like a new penny. The truck is very straight to look down the side BED: The bed is nice, it has no dents and no rust, the paint is very nice in the bed. CHROME: The chrome is nice. The front bumper does have some slight dulling and the step bumper 2 or 3 chipped places. The side molding are very nice used condition. INTEROR: Good interior with no wear and no fading. The dash pad has one crack in the dead center. The carpet, seat cover and headliner look new. The inside paint is decent, it has a few chips where the keys hang and some very minor other chips, but good overall. The plastic instrument bezel chrome is dull (if it bother you here is what I do sometimes, I use a metallic sharpie and color it, it takes time, but looks OK). GLASS: The windshield is clear, but has a wiper mark. The side windows are good and roll up and down good and the back window good. SOUND SYSTEM: Original AM radio that works, but not great. ENGINE: The 352 engine has no rattles or blue smoke, it has more than enough power to do the job. The hoses and belts are new and the carburetor is the original Ford 2100 2 barrel. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Very good condition, it has a little rumble, but not real loud “it sounds just right to me”. TRANSMISSION: The transmission is a 3 speed manual that shifts nice. The clutch has no slip or chatter. BRAKES: The brakes are good, they are the first year for the dual system and drum all around. STEERING: The truck drives great and the there are no loose parts. It is manual steering, but steers easy to me. LIGHTS: They all work other than the interior light. HORN WORKS! WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GUAGES: They all work, even the gas gauge. HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? They all open and close good and the margins are as they came from Ford. SUMMARY OF DEFECTS: Minor wiper mark in windshield, minor dulling on front bumper, 3 chrome chips on rear bumper, interior light not working. SUMMARY OF THE BEST: Magnificent paint, no wear on the interior, great mechanically “you don’t have to do a thing to this truck if you don’t want to”. PAPERWORK: I know what to do! I am a Tennessee licensed car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many. The license and bonding is expensive for a small father/son operation, but need to make things legal and make them happen without problems. THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the car “come look”. I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET. CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM eastern time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day. cell 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com WHERE THE TRUCK IS LOCATED: The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles below Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights. I WILL ONLY PICK YOU UP AT THE AIR PORT UNLESS THE CAR IS PAID FOR IN FULL, I HAVE MADE TOO MANY WILD GOOSE CHASES! RENTAL CARS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE AIRPORT! WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM: My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, Tennessee “Athens is called the friendly city”. I am 63 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 38. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens for many years. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE! US TRANSPORT: “No problem”, I can recommend a very large company, McNutt Auto Transport Service 800-755-2324. EXPORT: I like Trans Ocean Auto, they make it easy. 908-788-7001 transoceanauto@yahoo.com I also like Viking Transport, LLC, 757-727-7979 john@vikingtransport.net MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75), so transport is usually very fast. PAYMENT: I require a $500 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face. Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had a fake one. Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a member of the US Federal Reserve, this is wire transfer. INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspection have to be done before the end of the listing.- TRADES: Trades are hard! No trades please! BOTTOM LINE: I am asking $9,700 on the local market and will let people bargain me down to $8,700. That’s the game and we all know it, this is really my lowest price. I’m 100% sure the truck will sell for $8,700, please come look and drive this nice truck. Thank You, Ron Watson cell: 423-506-8987 email: dreamcar@live.com
