Vehicle Detail

This is th' Losin Streaks van. It's a 1969 Ford E-100 with a 2" chop (!), a meaty-sounding V8 (I think it's a 302), three on the tree, dual exhaust, tow package, slotted aluminum mags, Cooper Cobras with about 500 miles on them, captain's seats, a little rust and PLENTY of bondo. Total seventies Kustom. A fan of our band gave it to us- he said the wife told him to "get rid of the Stabbin' Cabin!" We rescued it from his longterm storage about 5 years ago, got it running and it's been a blast ever since. Band is no more so it's gotta go to some other lunatics. This is a PERFECT band vehicle. It holds everything and people LOVE it. We even used a picture of it on our European tour poster. Running, licensed and ready for you to color sand our name off and put your name on. Paint is blue sparkle- it's cracked/gone in some spots but worked for our purposes. I did not sand the paint before I spraypainted the Losin Streaks logo on, so you should be able to buff or color sand our name off with minimal damage to the paint underneath - heck, the white paint already runs off in sheets every time it rains! Runs and drives well - the engine sounds meaty and great. It smokes a bit on start up if it sits for more than a few days. We've used it quite a bit for shows in Northern California, but we've never gone more than about a couple hundred miles a day in it. The shifting is a little sloppy, but I believe it's just the linkage. The linkage on this thing is long, so there's a lot of room for slop. MILEAGE IS A GUESS (ebay made me enter a number). Odometer reads 15,182... I'm not sure how many times it's rolled over. Interior is pretty crappy. We glued some white fake fur to the cracked dash and that was about it for us. The back is insulated under the fake wood paneling. The seventies kustom carpet is mostly there, but it's pretty crappy at this point. Captain's chairs are ridonkulous - I'm 6'3 and I gotta hunch like a monkey to drive.I found a nice original steering wheel for it but never got around to putting it on. It will go with the van. $500 worth of tires are nearly new -we replaced them when one of the old tires blew, taking out chunks of the wheelwell. Whoever built thing used lots of bondo, galvanized sheet metal and even some sheet metal screws! I expected to find wadded up pages from the Stockton Record newspaper under there, but none have turned up so far. There is some rust in the drip rails, and the bottom of the passenger door has some serious rust through - I think it might originally have come off another van because the floors are solid. The windshield is stock - it's just been laid back at an angle to fit. The rear 'glass' is plexiglass. Needs seatbelts (there are none) and one window crank. Horn doesn't work. None of the doors has a key- that was good so that we never got lazy and left gear in the back. I've never tried to use the trailer hitch, so I don't know if the trailer lights work- the wiring is there. Someone did a TON of work on this thing. I wouldn't be surprised if it has history or was in magazines back in the day. The chop itself must have been a huge job, and modifying the windshield frame seems like it would have been tricky. The work is NOT subtle (plenty of crusty spots) but I'm impressed that they managed to do it at all. Please examine the photos carefully and feel free to ask questions.Would I drive this to New York tomorrow? Probably not. Bay Area, no sweat. I might even try for Los Angeles as long as I checked all the hoses first.$500 deposit due within 48 hours of close of auction. Full payment in 7 days. Please don't bid if you're not going to pay. Good luck!
