This belonged to a friend of mine who took tremendous care of it, which shows. Not sure why autocheck isn't pulling records on the VIN, this is an original US car purchased in Orange county with 2-owners. Sometimes there is less info on Autocheck for diesels because there is no Smog record. Condition: Mechanical- Excellent. Quiet turbo, smooth power. No excessive blowby (a good test is to loosen the oil filler cap while running, if it dances atop the valve cover, there is too much blowby). Suspension feels very good, shocks are good, no clunks in the suspension. Transmission shifts flawlessly. Radio works perfectly. Icy cold A/C. Clock not working. Sunroof and windows all work perfectly. 2-Owner car. In Orange county from 1985-98. In Manhattan Beach from 98-present. Service booklet is full of records. 22 oil service records from 1985-98 -----Brake Fluid replaced 8 times from 85-98. Coolant flushed 2x from 85-98. Cosmetics- Rare. Exterior appears to be original glasso paint with the original texture, excellent gloss. Hardly any nicks, very few. Bumpers look near new, plastic trim is fresh and stainless steel looks excellent. The aluminum trim around the windows has some fogging as is common, but it looks presentable. Around the right rear wheel well there is a minor crease about 6" on the lip. Car is very straight with no evidence of paintwork or body filler. Tires are good, about 50% life. Interior is even nicer than the last diamond diesel we sold. Carpet is fantastic, Original Vinyl seats are without signs of wear, no nicks or tears. Almost no fading, just a bit can be seen here and there, more so on the upper surface of the back seat right near the package tray. The dash has essentially no cracks. there is a beginning crack about 1/8" near the right speaker grill. The wood is stunning, nearly day one. Super nice piece, most desirable year of arguably the most desirable diesel Mercedes ever made.
