Vehicle Detail

Too many toys for this 40 year Corvair enthusiast and some have to go. Up for sale is the best all around Corvair Spyder that I have ever owned, and I have owned a bunch! Palomar red with a white interior and a white top represents to me, the Holy Grail of the early combinations of trim and color. When you have that in a power top Spyder, you have it all. I purchased this car about 3 years ago from a man who bought it to sell and it was represented to me that it had two previous owners, the later was the long time owner. A lustrous older lacquer repaint is combined with the original inserted white interior, a new white top, and a rebuilt suspension and engine. This car moves down the road with the confidence and power that a well tuned Spyder does. Every time I drive it, I marvel at how special this thing was back in the day of strait axels and behemoth weight. Equipped with the matching date coded engine (T033IYR) and original colors this car will make you proud! There are non perfections throughout but I am representing this car as a driver/survivor that will make you proud wherever you take it! Straight as a string with no evidence of any former collision damage allows all of the openings to line up and close like they did when this car was new. The power top works great and everything else works but the gas gage. No rattles, squeaks, moans or groans and the car shifts though all gears quietly with a tight clutch and a tight shifter. The cars tracks and stops straight and the turbo does its job and moves it out! I would say the car is 95% rust free with only a few minor areas where there is a little bubbling under the paint in a few typical areas. I have over 20K in this little jewell and I know that I have overspent, but for you, an opportunity awaits. Please ask questions and I will answer as a 40 year Corvair guy can! Thanks for your time.
