OK I'm listing a 2000 Cougar V6 5 speed. I bought this car from my son as a work car. (better gas mileage) Drove great for 6 months until one night a deer jumped out and I slammed on the brakes. Broke right head light cover and bent the fender. Well a week latter I started to hear noises in the front end and thought it was the CV Joint. I changed one side and was still making a crunching noise so I changed the other. Well the car has 2 brand new CV Joints and still has the noise. After a little searching I found out it"s the "SpiderGear" it the trans. The part run about New $400. But I hear it"s easier to change the whole trans. Way to much work for me. Getting to old to be laying on my back for hours. It would make a great second car as the motor run great. Please ask any questions as I'll be glad to answer. Thanks Tony Car must go soon.
