Vehicle Detail

1963 Triumph Spitfire European spec right hand drive. RARE...I've never seen another RHD Spitfire before. This is an early Spitfire surivor with original factory metal hard top. Original running gear including high compression engine. This is a very nice running driving Spit that could be a show car. I enjoy the occasional weekend drive. I replaced the rear shocks and the seal in the differential. It has four new tires. Everything works except the windshield washer. The passenger side floor and drivers side floor have been repaired. There are also some small pitting rust holes in the trunk (see photo). Very minor issues for a 1960's european convertible. There are no current rust issues, rockers are solid. You could just drive the car the way it is, I certainly do and people love it! It could use new paint and a new passenger side glove box. The glove box is just pressed cardboard. There has been some minor body work on the right rear quarter panel and on the nose. It has a luggage rack. I have the convertible top frame but the soft top is old and cracked. I have a bunch of spare parts that will also go with the car. Please ask any questions. If you want more photos or one of a certain part of the car please just send me an email. I am opening this auction world wide so if you are the winning bidder and need it shipped internationally I will transport the car to a loading/shipping facility in San Francisco, CA for a fee. thanks On Jun-01-10 at 17:32:10 PDT, seller added the following information: due to popular demand I added a few more photos. The nose repair is nearly impossible to see even from under side of the bonnet. I wanted to show the paint discolor by the gas cap. As I said in the original listing it could use a paint job. It is the original color. I have a jack, but no spare tire, I don't know if the jack is original. I noticed the heater valve is sticking but I have a new one. Spare parts include, rubber trim around the head lights, spare head lights and chrome, spare chrome bumperettes, rear tail lenses and light fixtures, interior door knobs, dash cover, original owner's manual, spare tire cover, sun visors for hard top, oil filters, window trim - plastic chrome stuff, an original British Auto Club emblem. There is a radio but it is not original and I don't have it hooked up so I don't know if it works. Seat bottom's are original spring type. Rims are original along with aluminum caps and trim. That's all I can think of right now.... thanks for all the interest.
