These are one of the best old trucks to have around - easy to maintain and reliably simple. The PTO (Power Take Off) Winch is rare these day but fantastic - must stronger than the common electric ones theses days and gives you the full HP and Torque of the 304 V8 motor to pull with. I used to live in Colorado where this was great on forest service roads where I would utilize the winch to help people in their Jeeps, and Fords who would get stuck. Its roomy interior can hold a 4x8 sheet flat with no problem. The rear doors and open over 90 degrees for easy cargo loading. I will through in a roof top cargo rack and the winch cable pictured. It would be fun to restore or use it now for 4x4 hunting, or camping or plow truck. The Good:Great TiresPTO Winch & Cable - (the outside activation arm is missing and a new one or large wrench is needed.)Mechanically everything works - all glass is there The Bad:The Driver's Side Hood Spring arm is broken through (but hood can still be opened and closed)The parking break cable was sheared and has never been replaced.The manual choke is stickyA chip and crack started in the windshield (see picture) The Ugly:The whole body (see photos)Most of the interior (the rear seat vertical cushion has bee replaced with wood.Hole patched in the roof where search light used to be mounted (see VW logo in photos) There is no reserveemail me with any questions
