Vehicle Detail

Welcome, you are bidding on a great running and driving, very original, california minimal rust 1975 Porsche 914 2.0L "GA engine". This car looks great with its nice sporty red paint job and desirable fuch wheels. Car will come with the personalized California plate that reads "BOXZR". This car is in very original condition, still even retains all the original smog equipment even though the car is now smog exempt. It still even has its original battery tray and no rust in the "hell hole" area. This car would be a great candidate for restoration or just drive as is, being that its still in pretty nice shape. EXTERIOR, BODY, PAINT: The body of this car is in very nice shape. I have found no evidence of repair or prior damage. Its ahs nice lines and gaps. Car is very rust free with the exception of the center trunk area behind the porsche reflector emblem. It has a couple of rust wholes as seen in photos, but not in corners of trunk. No rust in pans, doors, fenders of "hell hole" that I found. There are also a couple of bubble in paint on trunk lid above porsche reflector emblem. The original color on this car was the rare optioned Palma Green Metallic(L 95 K). It has had one nice red repaint a few years ago, they did a good job and it looks great. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION: This car comes with the bigger more powerful, most desirable "GA code" 2.0 engine. Engine number GA 007 069, I thought the engine was original to the car, but after researching the numbers, it tells me that the engine is a 1974, which was the most powerful 2.0 4-cylinder they made. Anyway, the motor sounds and runs very nice. Starts right up, makes great power and runs cool. The transmission shifts smoothly thru the gears and works good, good clutch too. INTERIOR: The interior of this car is in pretty good shape for being original. The dash has its cracks, but not not too bad, definately could live with it. The seats and wall pad have a few cracks and tears in them. The top of the driver side door panel is dried and cracked. I have it taped with black gorrila tape, so you could leave it or replace cheap. Car comes with a cd player that works with the original speakers in it. CAR NEEDS: The car really only needs a few minor things. I think it has a leaking brake line. I bled all the brakes, but air is still getting in and fluid seems to be coming from the front right. Should be a cheap fix whether you do it yourself or have a shop do it. The speedo is broke and probably needs a new cable. The windshield is also cracked, but repaired. Other than that, just some extra tlc. WHEELS/TIRES: The wheels are original optional fuchs, look nice and in good condition. Tires are almost new, maybe 1000 miles on them. Car comes with full size spare steel wheel. OVERALL: Overall this is a great example of an original 914 2.0. Lots of fun. I can help ship car anywhere overseas or domestically. Please call me or email me if you have any other questions or photo requests. If you have low feedback or are going to place a winning bid, please give me a call so make sure everything is in order, such as being able to send paypal deposit and get a shipping quote from me. I have clean and clear pinkslip in hand ready to hand off to new owner. Thanks and good luck, Dan, 925 413 8974.
