I purchased this truck from its original owner/builder to use to tow my race trailer to the local track. We were going to buy a 5th wheel travel trailer but the kids are getting too big to ride in the rear jump seats so we recently purchased a large RV and can also tow the race trailer with that. I really do not want to part with the truck as I will never find another like it anywhere but it will probably spend most of its time sitting and that would be a shame. This truck was a west coast high and dry desert truck. It's time in NY it has spent indoors in a pole barn starting the middle of October to the end of April. The body and frame are extremely clean and straight. The previous owner did a complete frame off restoration of the truck before parting with it. The list of what has been done is extensive so bear with me. MOTOR Engine is a 76 Jensen Interceptor 440 with 20,000 on the block and 7500 miles on a complete rebuild. Engine dyno'd at 405 HP It has Keith Black Pistons with quench @9.25:1 Compression ratio FORGED CRANK with Clevite Bearings 906 Heads Ported and polished, hardened seats and triple angle valve grind RV cam 252 Duration/470 Lift Offenhauser split runner dual plane intake Pertronix ignition conversion, distributor locked at 33* Crane wires MSd coil Platinum plugs Had 750 Edelbrock Now a 600 for fuel economy. Mickey Thompson vintage aluminum ribbed valve covers Doug Thorley Tri-Y headers with resonators in collectors Aluminumized dual exhaust into a dual inlet single outlet Borla muffler wich gives an awesome sound 140 Amp Delco alternator wtih temp sensor Twin deep cycle batteries, one for truck one for towed unit on an isolator Everything on/associated with motor is new. Belts, hoses, P/S pump and hoses etc etc. Radiator cleaned and inspected TRANSMISSION Rebuilt 727 with heavy duty bands and planetary gear. Pump turned to max for strong shift. Super deep pan and external cooler added Driveshaft rebuilt and balanced with all new heavy duty spicer U joints with fittings in caps REAR DIFFERENTIAL Rebuilt Dana 60 with locker 3.74 gears Stud girdle cover TWO FUEL TANKS about 16 gallons each set up with individual electric dual fuel pumps, fram racing external fuel filter under hood. Suspension is completely gone over including adustable rancho shocks Brake system also all gone over Brand new class 4 hitch, electric controller and 7 prong plug 4 recent new 235/85r/15 tires on chrome wheels Body and paint as stated are extremely nice. It does have a few small brush touched spots as we did use it, very sharp truck. Interior is nice and clean. Has a removable Grant Steering wheel because of the amount of trailer thefts that occur nowadays from hotel lots. You just turn the key in the wheel, turn it an eighth of a turn and take the wheel with you. No wheel, no driving the truck. There are tons of little things I could mention like quartz headlights, driving lights, all new little stuff like wipers, switches, etc. You can imagine what the cost was to put this truck together. These club cab trucks are getting exceedingly harder and harder to find. Especially one in this shape on the east coast. It runs, drives, stops and tows absolutely incredible. It is extremely powerful and suprsingly does not eat fuel like you would think. I did about 13 around town empty and 10 towing which is about the same as a mini blazer I am not disclosing the reserve at this time. I am open to entertaining BIN offers. If the price is right I can put one on the listing for you. If you are in the market for a tow vehicle, this is it. Will gat any job done and is not overburdened with all that computer BS that leave people stranded. Nothing in that engine compartment cant be fixed in minutes if need be. Feel free to ask questions, as I am sure I missed something important to you. I was told mileage is correct but NYS law states something this old is exempt.
