48 Anglia gasser. This is a well preserved piece of drag racing history. The class the car ran from the mid 60's till 69 was bb/gas. The class rules were supercharged only with short wheelbase "Anglia's, Willys". Although the class was a crowd pleaser it was dropped due to it being pretty dangerous. In 69 the car was put in a garage and left alone. 100% real. All parts on the car are the ones it ran in the 60's. (fuel & injection lines were changed so it could be started) The body is a 48 and steel with a fiberglass nose. The Candy blue paint is falling off and some places the primer has fallin off down to bare metal. The body is in good unrestored shape with only light surface rust where paint came off. Blue plexi windows. The car was is lettered on one side??? I was told its home track had grandstands only on one side. Chrome door and trunk hinges. P/G parachute with hoop pull in the car. Diest saftey harness. Sun tac. The chassis has the stock frame rails as per class. Certified axles brand tube axle with Adj coils. The rear end is a narowed Olds just as most were. It rides on heavy leaf springs with Adj shocks and bars. The front wheels are Halibrand magnesium spindle mounts. Rear wheels are 15x12 Ansen sprints with M&H Racemaster slicks. The car runs a 327 with a 671 blower. 2 port Hilborn injection. Tex Wilson roller rockers. magneisum Isky blower pully set up. Cragar timing cover. Vertex mag with dist drive Hilborn fuel pump. Double hump heads. Moon tank. The transmission is a B&M Clutchflight with a trans blanket. The car has not been on the track for nearly 40 years. Altough you can squirt some alcohol in the hats hit the button and it fires right up and sounds KILLER it will need freshening up the brakes and good checking over.
