Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Here it is, a fresh black on black 67 camaro..This car has just been redone you will be the first to drive it..This car is an original 46k miles , 327 sbc car….Numbers matching car that was done over to be my personal driver for cruises etc…What I wanted out of the car was to look and feel like a muscle car, but handle and stop like a modern car..That I think we achieved .. When I brought the car home on the trailer first thing we did was assess the damage and build a game plan..We started by completely stripping the car, pulling all interior out, pulling the front clip and sub frame out of the car and media blasting everything…..We replaced anything that was not savable or wear items…We then coated everything in rustshield (sem) to prevent any further rust from re appearing…The front suspension received a new set of Energy suspension poly mounts for the frame, radiator support ,energy suspension dust seals on the tie rods etc looks real good.. Hotchkis Upper and lower Tubular control arms , along with Eibach Big sway bar kit w/ poly links etc , Eibach pro kit front springs , and Edelbrock shocks round up the front suspension real nice should handle great. Every ball joint was replaced also……The rear suspension received a Eibach big swaybar kit also with poly links etc,New bushings and a set of Edelbrock shocks, again should handle great..A set of Hotchkis Subframe connectors tie it all up…….. For the brakes we Pulled all brakes from the car and installed a Front power disc brake setup with new spindles , backing plates, stainless lines , New calipers , cross drilled and slotted rotors… The rear brakes were left drums I probably should have changed them over but I was not planning on racing this car so front disc should be plenty…The rear got all new hardware , new drums, new springs , new adjusters , new shoes ,cylinders etc all replaced, new lines were added also…New Power booster and master with new proportioning block send juice to the brakes…..Car will stop on a dime..17” 3 piece billet wheels with low profile tires keep everything planted….. The body was dismantled and again anything that was beyond reasonable repair we replaced…It ended up being new fenders , new inner fenders , new cowl hood , new full rockers , new quarter panels, and a new spoiler….All body work was done correct, we blocked the car ,poly primer and blocked again, guide coated and a final blocking was done before paint….The paint is a dupont single stage black which was covered in dupont chroma clear to give the deep black look..Yes we cleared over a single stage paint it looks like a mirror..There is a couple nibs in the paint but they are very small and I am just being picky..The paint was wet sanded with 1200, then 1500 and a final of 2000 before it buffed and polished, final glazed……New weather seals were added all around the car, trunk , doors etc..All outer door handles replaced with new chrome ones.……The inner fender wells were also painted black like the rest of the car and they are detailed so it looks great. All jambs look very good they were wet sanded also…..So the body looks awesome, couple very minor imperfections in the paint ( 2 or 3 small dust nibs)but I can live with it no problem it’s not a show car but will hold it’s own against any car….This car is super straight & all metal, cant hide anything with black.. The interior was dismantled and started from scratch…New carpet layed down , new Gm sill plates , new Dash pad , new panels , dash was painted looks great ,windows were removed for paint , new factory Tinted windshield installed , The seats are very nice, they are black leather with black velour inserts in the center of them…Nice black headliner, new dome light , new handles and window cranks, original AM radio still in car and works great. So the interior in the car Looks and feels super, the seats are very comfortable……. The engine and drive train are the stock Numbers matching drive train, the original 327 had 46k miles. We pulled the engine and rebuilt it from the crank up, we wanted to stay original so I just added a few goodies to wake it up some..We added a Comp cams cam, little more bumpier than stock should wake it up nicely..New Comp roller tip rockers ,Trick flow pushrods, lifters, Edelbrock performer intake ,Hooker long tube headers ,Hei ignition, accel coil , accell wires ,Holley carb , new motor mounts, new alternator , new holley fuel pump ,All gaskets are fel pro,new Interstate Mega Tron Battery,Billet air breather,New fuel tank and all new fuel lines, lot’s of grade 8 hardware to hold everything in place..Plus much more.I loved the look of the stock covers so we pulled them, media blasted then painted them and did the Chevrolet lettering in a nice silver to match the rest of the motor, drilled for Billet breather….The trans mission is the original Power glide and works perfectly, new fluids and outer seals..The Rear is the 10 Bolt rear with Factory Posi unit…So I wanted to keep all the original motor and running gear in the car but have some more pop to it, this worked out great.Like I said I was not building to race the car but I wanted to be able to go around corners and stop like a modern car…..This is a very good cruise car, that runs very well, you will have no problems with lack of power and it’s super tight…Plus it sounds so good..It’s just an all around awesome car that the new owner will love…One turn of the key and it roars to life … When I bought the car the Protecto plate was in the car so that goes with it also..I know I am forgetting a lot but it’s a lot to sit down and try to put to paper, I have tons of pictures of all work performed..All body line gaps are real nice, just a true solid car...If the buy it now is used i have a new th350 with B&M shift kit and upgraded internals the buyer can have if wanted , i did not want to change the original...I also have the complete dealer installed after market air conditioning unit that goes under the dash , it comes with the compressor , all plumbing and brackets...Bumpers are included just not seen in pics..Also in the side shot of the car, the drivers door is open a crack it's not out of alignment just was not shut all the way..Inspections are welcome, this car speaks for itself.. Car will be sold as-is as seen with no warranty expressed or implied..If is not what I tell you it is then you are not responsible to keep your end of the deal.I am not looking to pull any wool over anyone’s eyes I have what I am asking into this plus more..Cash Talks make a serious offer i have three more first gen camaro's i need to get to, hence the reason for selling, the Reserve is VERY reasonable, less than $ 20k and is an absolute steal but i know how the economy is …Thanks...$1000 deposit due within 48hrs of auctions close, car must be paid for within 7 days of auctions end..I can store the car for a couple weeks if need be, as long as it is paid for, i will keep it in my paint booth for safe keeping... ....................Willing to accept some partial trades, like muscle car , custom bikes , Projects ,....................1 More thing to add, a friend of mine owns a trucking company and may be able to get a decent deal on shipping depending on location.....Any questions or otherwise i can be reached at 413-841-7453 or 413-841-1089 Thanks On Jun-02-10 at 07:13:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Lowered the buy it now and reserve to let it go..To answer a couple questions-Yes it does have power steering...Sorry about the dark pictures, they were not that dark when i took them, they do not do justice to the car at all....
