Vehicle Detail

1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 5 Speed Complete Project Runs Hurry up before I change my mind! Low starting price, no reserve! For sale-One Red 1984 Z28 305 HO Engine, 5 Speed Tranny, Factory A/C, T-Tops, Power Drivers Seat, Power Locks, Power Windows, Power Steering- All original, never modified. This car needs work. The body is very straight. The VIN history shows that it was involved in some sort of front end crash in 1989. The only damage on the front end is what you see in the picture which is very easily fixed. I cannot find any other damage nor can my neighbor who is an insurance adjuster. Either it was very minor, repaired expertly or what you see on the front. I promise you that you cannot tell. If you are a bodyman, maybe you can find the damage. I looked the front end over and cannot find any signs of a front end collision. All of the factory welds, supports, seals are still intact. I smacked a 1986 IROC into a car that cut me off at about 10 mph. All it broke was a fog lamp. Anyway, It has some minor rust spots under each door but only on the bottom and you cannot see it on the outside. The area between the windshield and the T-Top has a couple of rust spots. Other than a few minor nicks and scratches, the car appears to be solid. It needs a paint job, weather seals, carpeting, seat upholstery, steering wheel, dash pad and some door panel work. I haven't gone through the whole car with a fine tooth comb so I cannot tell you if there are any other defects other than what I can see and feel. The engine ran fine and smooth until I pressure cleaned it. Now it runs rough. Go figure. The clutch is shot and the tranny grinds in all gears. Not sure if a new clutch and pressure plate will solve the grind. Plan on repairing the tranny. The engine does not overheat and the a/c kicks on and feels slightly cool. The brakes are cooked. I don't have the keys to the rear hatch. The hatch switch doesn't work so I cant open it. Argh! The front windshield edges are delaminating(not on the surface) however nothing blocks the view. The tires are just ok and the rims are stock. The right rear passenger tire doesn't hold air. The engine compartment appears to be complete with the original carb and HO Air Cleaner. The alternator appears to be new and I bought a brand new battery for it. I was going to fix her up and drive it around, however I already have another car project. You can either fully restore her or tune it up, fix the tranny, brakes and drive it as is.(not for the faint of heart). I would hate to see this car get chopped upped. Most of these cars were modified back in the day and they are getting harder and harder to find. Try finding one complete that is cheap enough for a youngster to buy. Either they are trashed without the original drivetrain or they are in good driver condition starting above $5,000.00. I have seen some Z28s going for over $12,000. You could buy this one cheap, get it running, then drive it as you restore it. This car shows about 112,000 miles on the speedo. I believe it to be correct. The engine appears to be the original. I drove it around before I pressure cleaned the engine and it still had plenty of power, sounded great and still felt very tight. The pictures I took show the cars good and bad spots. I have nothing to hide and believe my description to be accurate. If you feel the need, please feel free to come by and look at it or have it inspected. Again, I am teetering on whether or not I want to sell this car. Though it needs alot of work, it is a perfect restoration candidate with great factory options. I bought this car with the intentions of restoring it. I have done many project cars and this one is definetely worth finishing. You never know what you can get it for. The books show these cars in this condition can easily be worth over $1,700.00. I already bought a new oil filter and high mileage oil for it which is included in the sale. The sale price does not include any shipping. You must arrange shipping or towing if local. The car does start up and move. I have the clear Florida Title though I never signed it so the next owner can just put his John Hancock on it and voila, its yours. Buyers are responsible for any and all charges related to tags, insurance, registration, shipping, title, notary etc fees associated with purchasing a vehicle. In other words, you pay me, I give you car, title, keys, bill of sale and nothing else. I will accept paypal, cashier checks, money orders, personal checks and of course, cash. Please try to pay at least a deposit of $100 within two days unless you have made some other arrangements with me prior. Anything other than Paypal and cash will have to wait until the form of payment completely clears. I am an active law enforcement officer (23 years) and spent 5 of those investigating economic crime. Scammers, stay away, I will smell you a mile away and I will waste your time. Go somewhere else. I am located in Cooper City, Florida. All major highways are only a hop, skip and a jump away. I am willing to store the car for you up to a month or so, but it must be paid for in full within 10 days from time of purchase. Sorry, only US 48 Lower State Bidders on this one please unless you contact me first. Thanks for looking and good-luck. PS-I might be willing to trade it for some mopar parts-I am building a 1973 4 Speed Plymouth Duster with a 340. Looking for speed engine parts and tranny related stuff. I don't need a block, intake, carb, timing chain, oil pump. I am looking for rods, maybe pistons, stroker crank, valve train items, drive train, heads, oil pan. A-body stuffWhat ya got? On Jun-03-10 at 16:50:46 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE READ! BIDDERS! IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 STARS or less than perfect feedback unless you are a long time ebayer, please send me a short email about your intentions. This does not exclude you from bidding, however, if I do not hear from you than I am going to assume you have no intentions to make this purchase. Thank you.
