I have for sale an original 1979 3/4 ton GMC pickup. It was ordered from the factory by my grandfather with only 2 options: 4 wheel drive and dual tanks. This pickup shows 47666 miles on the odometer, has never turned over. I remember grandpa tell me he replaced the speedometer when the pickup was only a couple of years old, factory defect with the original. Grampa hardly ever drove this pickup, it was always parked inside his garage. When I recieved the truck, the cam was flat, 79 was a bad year for soft cams. I replaced the cam with a mild RV cam and redid the heads. I also placed an eldebrack dual plane intake and headers on the truck. I used the truck to haul a camper until 2 years ago,when we out grew it. Pickup was never abused and always adult owned. Pickup runs great and has plenty of power. I will include with the buy it now price a good 4 core radiator and mounts, an extra starter, alternator and the original intake. The original radiator is a 2 core, it works fine. The body is straight but there is rust starting in the front fenders as shown in the pictures. The pickup has posi with 373 gears. This pickup has a 350 four bolt main engine coupled to a 4 speed manual with granny gear. The transfer case has 4 high, 4 low, neutral and 2 high. This is a nice set up for pulling or a daily driver. I hope someone buys it and takes care of it as I have. I drove this truck everywhere and never had any problems. The tires are heavy duty 10 ply on 16.5 rims, they are good but weather checked.
