Vehicle Detail
1996 Land Rover Discovery SE7 I have for sale my Land Rover Discovery. It has been my daily driver and is in good running condition. I have included alot of pictures which I hope will help to accurately display the condition. Below I have listed the pros and cons of the vehicle so that you get an accuarate idea of the quality of the vehicle. Please keep in mind that it is 14 years old and shows some wear but if you are looking for a good vehicle to go from running errands to driving through a creek, then this is your vehicle. The Pros: Runs strong (Just drove a 1,300 mile trip with no worries) All glass in good condition (no cracks, etc) 4 Wheel Drive (4x4) Good tires NO rust! Roof Rack Grille Guard Dual sunroofs Seats 7 people!! Low mileage (for the year) Solid Body (no dents, bondo, etc) Heavy duty rubber cargo mat Carpet is in good condition Cons: The clear coat on the hood and above the doors has started to come off, however, the paint is fine. I took it to a body shop to see about repainting it and I was advised to just wax it often and the paint will last. This vehicle was in Arizona until I bought it so I guess the loss of clear coat is the price that was paid for no rust. I think it adds to this Rover's rugged appearance and gives it character. The dual sunroofs slide forward and back fully, however, they do not move up and down. I think that the previous owner didn't have much need to close them often so they just havent been moved. I have been told that the tracks probably just need to be cleaned and oiled and that may free them up but I'm not mechanically inclined and wouldn't know where to start. They have been open since I bought it and it hasn't been a problem. There is a slight grind if you shift from 1st to 2nd too quickly. However, if you wait a second before you shift, then there is no problem. With an older vehicle comes quirks. The leather on the front seats is in poor condition. The seam has come apart across the middle of each seat. I have them covered by grey fabric seat covers which works well and didn't cost an arm and a leg to repair the seats. The rear bench and the jump seats are in great condition. I have tried to give enough info on the vehicle but I'm sure there are probably things that I missed so if you think of anything else that you would like info on, please drop me an email and I'll get back to you soon. If you prefer to speak over the phone my number is 870-404-0553 and my name is Amy. Thanks for looking. After the sale: A $500 deposit is required within 72 hours after the sale. The balance is due on or before the date of pick-up. The vehicle will need to be picked up within 30 days of the end of the auction. Buyer responsible for shipping, however, I am willing to help with arrangements or meeting at a larger city within 200 miles of Lakeview, AR for no additional charge. On May-30-10 at 17:47:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I do need to add that this Land Rover does leak a small amount of oil. Its not enough where I have to add oil often but just enough to check it every few weeks. Also, there is a power steering leak which requires a refill every few weeks. Neither of the leaks have been a reason for concern for me durring the time I have owned this vehicle but they do exist. :)On May-31-10 at 06:28:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to add this earlier but I am currently using the vehicle as my daily driver so by the end of the auction it will have around 200 additional miles on it. Sorry, but its my only way of getting around right now. However, at the end of the auction, I will stop driving it. Also, I have the vehicle for sale locally so if I have someone buy it locally then I will be ending the auction early.
