Vehicle Detail
1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. 141,283 miles. This is a Colorado-native vehicle. Studded tires. 2" receiver hitch. The exterior has some minor blemishes. There is minimal surface rust on the edges of the hood, doors, roof, etc. The door bottoms and rocker panels are very solid. On the left, rear fender there is a dent. The interior is clean. With the exception of the driver's seat, which is worn, the upholstery is great. The headliner has been removed, thus sheet metal is exposed on the interior of the roof. The power windows work well. The power locks need to be repaired--one side works well, the other does not. The Pioneer deck works well, while the speakers are original and sound "tinny." The engine is a 360 V8 - automatic. This vehicle is full-time, four-wheel drive. The front transfer case was replaced, by the previous owner, with a later model one. I'm not sure of its year. There is an aftermarket lever for selecting 2WD and 4WD. When selecting the 2WD option the vehicle doesn't completely exit 4WD. You can hear a bit of a "grinding" noise. Thus, I've always run the Jeep in 4WD. It's only be used in town, at low speeds, and on the trail. My intent for purchasing this vehicle was to build a true, off-road vehicle--that never happened. The exhaust is incomplete and lacking a tail pipe. The A/C compressor has been converted to supply air to a portable tank in the rear of the vehicle. Controlled by a toggle switch, the compressor can provide air for tire inflations, rafts, etc. For off-road use the Hella fog lights provide great illumination. An auxiliary-cooling fan is also available for travel at slow speeds. Within the last year a new water pump was installed, plugs and wires replaced, and fluids changed. I've tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. I don't know of any pre-existing conditions. Please take note that this is a 23-year old vehicle. It is used, has been driven, and isn't perfect. Please do not bid if you are expecting a "cream puff" that's been stored in a garag all its life; it hasn't. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them. This is a "must sell." I am moving from CO and do not need two vehicles.
