1955 Jeep Willys CJ-5 This Willys is in great condition with very little rust. The body and the frame are solid. The Motor: 327 Chevy V8--runs very well. The Transmission: 4 Speed Saginaw with Warn overdrive. The transmission shifts smooth and stays in gear, but it does leak fluid and whines at about 35mph. Mechanic says it needs a new front bearing. I'm not a mechanic, so I can't say for sure. It does run fine now. It does have a transfer case, but no front drive shaft. No power steering, no heat, no ac, no radio, no cruise control. Comes with new roll bar not seen in pictures. Top is like new. Tires are like new. Speedometer, Tachometer, and Temperature gauges work great. Fuel Guage will tell you when it is completely full or empty. If it drops off of full at all I fill it up. Seats are out of a 1999 Wrangler. I also have a rear, but it doesn't fit without some modifications. It will come with tow bar. The guy that I bought it from said that he thought Don Purdhomme owned it and raced dunes in California with it. I cannot prove this, it is something that you would need to investigate.
