Page Click Image To Enlarge Description This auction is for a 1973 AMC Javelin AMX. Its a true AMX car, w/ documentation. It has the 304 Cubic Inch V8 and a brand new three speed automatic transmission. The car was restored by the previous owner and is in fantastic condition. Both the interior and exterior are show worthy. The car starts up every time w/ no issue and recently drove to and from Ocrean City Maryland for Cruising Weekend w/o any issue. The car has the optional disc brakes, so unlike a lot of American Muscle this car can stop. This is a verified Javelin AMX which had a production of roughly 4,500 cars. Here is a detailed description of the car... Motor/Trans: 304 Cubic inch V8 w/ a Edelbrock 600CFM Four Barrel Carb. The intake manifold is an aluminum Edelbrock model as well. The car has a brand new exhaust from the header back and it sounds exactly like a car from this era should sound. The transmission is a brand new Chrysler 3 speed automatic. It shifts smoothly and there is no slipping. Its a blast to drive w/ plenty of power whenever you want it. Also has a 12 bolt rear. The (optional) disc brakes really help slow this car down and a great touch adding to the rarity of this car. The tires are in great shape and have plenty of life left in them. This car has been babied and it shows. The motor leaks nothing and idles beautifullly. Body: The body of this car truely SHINES! The yellow and black paint scheme pop and shine. The paint is a year old and was professionaly done. The body is straight and free of rust. It has all of the AMX correct front and rear spoilers, as well as the appropriate badging. All of the lights work and are the original units. The bumpers are original and in great shape. Still chrome, still shiney. The car is amazing to look at and definitely stands out from the crowd. Interior: The interior of this car was professional restored. The seats are custom yellow and black matching the rest of the car. Both the front and rear seats were reupholstered and are in great shape. The dash and steering wheel are original to the car and show little wear. The car has an aftermarket Sony Cassette head unit connecting to a 10" sub and amp in the rear trunk of the car. There is an aftermarket tachometer mounted on the steering colum, otherwise the interior is original and in great condition.
