Vehicle Detail
1987 Pontiac Fiero Automatic, 4 cylinder, 2 seat coupe VIN 1G2PM11R2HP209558 I got this pampered, garage kept car in September 2008 from an estate sale in Michigan. After a new set of Michelins, I drove it to Florida. I have replaced the Fuel Pump, CV axle, Rear brakes, ECM unit, Headliner and all sensors. The icy cold a/c system has been converted to R134a. It underwent a professional diagnostics check in February 2010, and I can provide the mechanic’s phone number for verification. The odometer quit working on the way to Florida and shows 73,626, but since then I have driven it no more than 3,000 miles taking Sunday drives and going to the ocean. The paint was fading so had it repainted last November and the finish is flawless. It was trailered to Texas in March. This sporty car is fun to own, fun to drive and can be driven anywhere. This car hugs the road and attacks the curves like a sport car should. The left headlight door is being stubborn lately, but that's the only issue it has. (Repair kit is $16.00) Many parts for the Fiero are easy to get from the local parts stores, and the unique parts (like the headlight motor kit) are plentiful thru internet specialty suppliers like the FieroStore.com. This sporty car turns heads where ever I go. We have to change our ride to a grandkid hauler, otherwise would be keeping it. Fly into one of the Houston, Texas airports – we’ll pick you up and you can dive it home.
