It's loaded with every available option, moon roof, leather, power everything, the steering wheel controls, beautiful pearl paint, and on and on. Most of the 99+ Limiteds are V8 models, pretty hard to find the V6s so this is a treat. The vehicle has new tires, it's never been smoked in, it runs and drives fantastic, everything works and it needs nothing. It's not the cheapest 98 on Ebay, but you get what you pay for and this is a lot of vehicle for the money. Have a look! exterior The paint and body on this Explorer are very nice for the age and mileage. I don't think it's really seen road salt because there's no rust, undercarriage even looks nice. The paint has very good gloss and looks original, no signs of any repaint at all and it's not the easiest color to match. The paint is a 3 stage pearl, very expensive, only found on the Limiteds. The wheels are in decent shape, few chips and marks. The tires are brand new as is the windshield. The bumpers are straight, trim is good, etc, the photos do it justice, very easy on the eyes. I guess for wear, the bumpers have some marks and it has a little road wear, pitting, etc. There's a nick at the left rear by the gas door, really no dents or bad scratches though. If you want the bumpers painted to new we can do it for you, but it's still an older inexpensive vehicle and original so I'd leave it alone. interior The interior is beautiful. It has nice soft leather that hasn't been dyed or refinished. There's no rips, burn holes or badly worn pieces. Everything still works which is important in these Explorers. They were loaded with electronics and if abused they didn't hold up. It smells great and has never been smoked in, lighter is still clean even. We have the original floor mats. The only thing I can see are two small cracks in the vinyl on the drivers side bolster. We can replace it for $90 or repair it for $60. There's 2 chips in the right rear door, other than that, the darn thing is immaculate for its' age. mechanical When they look nice they generally run nice. Clearly someone's babied this vehicle for a long time. You don't go keeping it shiny and clean and just not change the oil, so it was no surprise that after having it through the shop we found very little that needed attention. The tires were thin but they were Michelins, very expensive, we replaced them. The oil and filter are new but the rest of the fluids were clean and full. It drives very straight and quiet, shifts nicely, air blows cold, tight and quiet, really just a nice car. It has low mileage for the year and we've routinely sold these guys with over 200k running fine, so you should have a very long haul to go.
