1973 Volkswagen transporter van in excellent, near original condition! Original paint and 98% rust free. Desert vehicle all it's life...first California then to New Mexico. Never wrecked and no bondo! Upgraded where it counts with a 2.0 motor and the matching heavier duty transaxle from a 1977 camper. Has the 2-barrel webber carb, new heads, and plenty of snort for the hills. Was also switched to solid lifters with the accompanying push rods and valve train for that extra little punch. No leaks! Will run nice and smooth for years to come. I think I'm the third owner and I purchased the van to do a full restore...However things happen and I am now ready to let someone else take it the rest of the way. Clean title,of course. The safari style sunroof is inoperatable. Track and cable is all there but I think it is missing the guides. The two rear bench seats are missing. Tires are decent, brakes work fine and it steers nice and straight. Lights work and wiring is in good shape. Even has the stock cigarette lighter with the zippo-lighter picture on it. Sorry, no car stereo,nice glove box though. The van is super straight. you can see the small wrinkle by the driver side head light and the little bash on the passenger side rear under the bumper, but come on, it's 37 years old...almost considered antique. The only rust through spot is that little patch, I mean little, on the rear passenger-side fender above the wheel but that is the worst, only minor surface corrosion in a few places. All glass is perfect. This van is ready to drive around or like I said it's an excellent candidate for full refurbishing. Paypal only...unless your local and come and pay me for it.
