Vehicle Detail

1967 Lincoln Continental Convertible. Up for auction is a Lincoln suicide door Continental. It has the original 462 V8, the car has the original interior and we were told that is was a one owner car. We purchased the car 3 years ago with plans make it a triple black car (black paint, black top and black interior), just never got around to it. The original interior is in very good condition and the leather seats have held up well over the last 43 years, the carpets are also original and in very good condition. The car does have its original owners manual. The dash looks very good, the speedo/odo work, as does the gas gauge and the dash warning lights. The original factory antenna and radio still work! The heater controls work and the a/c pump turns on, but is very noisy. The interior courtesy lights work, the drivers power seat works, even the horn works. The glass looks to be all original, including the back/top glass, and are all in good condition. Also the power windows work, one has been disconnected because it turns all the time. The outside lights work and so do the windshield wipers. Basically it is an unmolested car where almost everything works. The car had been sitting for a long while when we got it, we gave it a complete tune up, and also replaced the fuel pump and had the carburator rebuilt. The car starts right up, idles smoothly and does not smoke. The car has only been driven around the lot, it hasn't been driven on the road ((should be trailored untill road tested fully)). The brakes work, but the brake light is on in the dash. The car has old school polyester white wall tires, they look good on the car. We were able to get the top and its mechanism working by putting power to all the relays, but could not figure out how to get it to work as it supposed to from the switch. So, the top does work but it needs to be sorted out. The car has had one repaint, you can see the original paint and primer where the paint has peeled off. The car does need paint and overall is solid, but it does have some rust spots (see pics). The chrome is fair, driver quality....just the middle of the back bumper has a little rust. I have described the car to the best of my knowledge, if you have any pertinent questions you are welcome to contact me through eBay. The car is sold as-is and as equipped. However, you are welcome to come see and/or have the car inspected before to end of the sale. Payment is due in full within seven days of the end of the auction. The mileage on the car seems to be accurate, but all cars in Ca over ten years old are sold miles 'exempt'. California buyers are responsible for state sales tax and fees. Transportation of the car is the responsibility of the buyer. NOTE: due to past "multiple" problems with low/negative or zero feedback bidders, we will only accept bids from such ebayers after they have contacted us first. Your bid is a binding agreement, not an opportunity to put the car on hold untill you decide if you really want it or try to get the money to pay for it!
