This Mustang coupe was born in LA (R code) spent the first 41 years there, 4 years in New Mexico and the last 3 years in Arizona, a southwest car with great original sheet metal and solid underneath. I am the fourth owner. The car was mostly original when I bought it with 109,000 miles. Since then I have replaced most of the wiring, installed a new air conditioning system (it was originally an A/C car), new interior, with shoulder harness seat belts in the front, new dual exhaust with GT tips and rear valance, new rear end, and springs. This 289 A code has it’s original factory 4 barrel carburetor and intake manifold, new radiator and original automatic transmission. The car is straight and the body very solid, the only sign of rust is at the bottom front of the doors, a common Mustang issue easily corrected. The car runs fine, has good power and drives nice. It could use a new paint job and perhaps new wheels, the wheels on the car are showing signs of age, tires are new.
